C section recovery

Hi i am 6 days post operation. I am getting really bad pain when getting up (feels like stretching the stitches) how would i know if this means there is something wrong. Is the pain normal? How long were fellow mums in pain for? I am struggling to get up and in and out of bed.

This is completely normal mumma. Just take it easy as much as you can. Easier said than done I know 🤦🏻‍♀️ mine eased a bit after a week and I felt I could move pretty well at 2 weeks with it getting sore sometimes. I slept on the sofa after mine as getting out of the bed was too painful but the sofa made it much easier. Maybe an idea until it eases slightly? We all just camped in the living room for the first few days 😂 xxx

6 days is still very very recent! Took me a good couple of weeks to be able to get up with only a little bit of pain. If you’re worried I would suggest letting your midwife know so they can take a look at the scar for you :)

Hii I hope it starts feeling better soon 🥲 just curious did they send you home with medicine and it still hurts really bad? I’m wondering for when it’s my turn..

Totally normal, it gets better over the next few weeks. Try to rest as much as you can because over doing it will cause issues and make things worse xxx

Day out after c section

Hey,
I had an emergency c section 1 week ago I obviously don't want a day out right now but I have things booked for the Easter holidays so in 2 weeks. I was just wondering if I will be overdoing it if I have a day out then or will I be ok? I would still take it as easy as I could. When did everyone feel good enough to go out?

Period like cramps

Hi
I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and I keep getting period like cramps I thought these were Brixton hicks but I’ve heard they only last 30 seconds ish as this can go on for a good time frame then go away and come back, they aren’t bad enough where I can’t do basic things they just feel like I’m about to get my period I’m jus wondering how normal this is? Baby is still very actively kicking xx

C section or natural?

I am a control freak and thinking c section is the least stressful route for me and baby… less complications during labour etc. whilst acknowledging recovering can be hard.
If it could be guaranteed no tearing or complications then I would opt for natural and kind of want to experience the feeling.
Then again could plan and go either way 😂 arghh!
Anyone else in this predicament?

Midwife check

Can someone remind me when the midwife visits you at home? Is it the day after you’re discharged? And is that the same on the weekend or do they not visit then? Thanks!

Owlet

Anyone else’s owlet pi##ing them off ?!?! It goes off 5/6 a night saying it can’t get a reading and needs a snug fit. My baby is 8 months old so moves a lot. It is driving me insane and I keep end up taking it off!!
