Children develop independence by first being dependent. the confidence that comes from knowing the parents are around even when they aren't, allows them to eventually reach a point where they can bring themselves back to sleep. Though that won't happen until they start to get the idea of object permanence.

I have a little hedgehog toy that vibrates and plays music. That may be helpful to your baby

What is CIO?

cry it out method

oh! Duhh. Thank you 👍
It’s mostly falling back asleep. She does good going down initially I rock her awake but drowsy and she falls right asleep. But when she wakes up she won’t go back to sleep

I have a lovie (tiny blanket usually with a stuffy head on them) and touching it to my baby’s face makes him fall asleep! He grips it and snuggles it and then once he’s asleep I gently take it away. Or I take a soft fuzzy blanket and just stroke the side of his face and it really relaxes him and then again just take it away once he’s asleep

Encourage her to suck on her fingers
I don’t want her to start sucking her thumb tho.

I really wouldn’t worry about it’s good for babies to suck on their hands it’s a self soothing tactic
