Help me out

Baby is 6 months, she sits unassisted and has done for over a month and has been doing this for weeks now but she just can’t crawl. How can I help and how long do you reckon before she finally gets it?

My babies 6 months to a march baby and she doesn't sit unassisted or even go on her legs or knees like this , so she's doing really well just leave her she will do it xx

What day in March was she born

Not long I watched a video today 6 stages of crawling on YouTube and that looks like the last stage before actually crawling

I think she's actually quite advanced just being able to do this!

My little girl was doing this about 2-3 weeks before she crawled properly for the first time (she was launching herself forward leading up to the first crawl), now she is unstoppable! She has started climbing up things so we've bought some soft play bricks. She crawled on the day she turned 6 months 🥰

When in this position, we encouraged.her to lift her hands by holding up a toy; I believe that helped

she will get it soon just leave her for 15-20 mins then give her a break for a bit :) she's doing really well honestly, I'm so worried about my daughter but she's my 3rd baby and her sisters do everything for her 🤦‍♀️ so she doesn't have to "learn" to do anything, my LG was born 28th so not much difference between our 2 , how much does she weigh ? And are u bottle or breastfeeding

Avatar

that’s so strange cause I’ve always knows 2nd and 3rd babies to do things early as they learn from siblings? Why are you worried? I don’t know how much she weighs as I don’t see my health visitor anymore and she’s bottle fed. She is big for her age though she’s in 9-12 clothes x

Check out this video on helping them crawl!

just because shes not doing much and has little interest k doing it 🤷‍♀️ my first 2 were really good they were so quick , ahh see my LG is only 16lb she still fits in 0-3 month clothes 🤦‍♀️ this is my first time breastfeeding so it's a hole different journey for me, I suppose she will do it one day , she is attached to me 24/7 she won't go down and play she just sits on my knee constantly it's draining 🤦‍♀️

Avatar

all babies are different I guess. Based on these comments it seems my little one is doing things “early” so I wouldn’t worry at all as long as baby is happy

Avatar

this was really useful thank you!

We’re at this stage as well :)) they’re really cute, but mine gets everywhere!

Looks like it won’t be long at all!! 👏🏻My girl started to do this from 5 months and crawled 3 weeks later.

To help her I put her favourite toys just out of reach, a lot of praise even if she only moved/shuffled a tiny amount, I would let her practice by pushing her feet off my hands whilst on her tummy. I’d also hold toys above her for her to reach out while she was in the all 4 position to help with her balance. She can now pull to stand and is absolutely everywhere and her favourite place to hide is under the kitchen table 😅🙃🙃 x

Some babies don’t end up crawling some bum shuffle and pull thems selves around so I wouldn’t worry too much x

Avatar

she’s already bum shuffling

Not drinking

I’m going crazy. Baby born at 2.26kg. Slow to put on weight. This last week hasn’t put on any. Been trying to feed him at night and he’s not interested at all. Fast asleep. During day he will have 5 minute gulps and that’s it. He don’t cry for milk. I’ve got to keep offering to him. I try to offer it every hour but I don’t know what I’m doing. HV said nutrition comes after 5 minutes so I should pump first and then give him. I find it so hard. I tried to pump one boob nothing came. The other abit came. Tried giving him express he’s not interested in that too. Sometimes he will go for a longer a feed but not long at all. He’s 4 months and is currently 5.46kg. I have no family or friend support here and wish I had a cook, cleaner and nanny to help with everything so I can concentrate on the little one. I don’t know what’s wrong with him but I’m loosing it. It doesn’t help that my also stressed generally about my relationship and life circumstances. Any advice that will work. Any comfort you can give. I’m fed up. Is this regression - not feeding. He’s fast fast asleep. I’ve been trying to push the nipple in but that mouth is closed shut. I took some clothes off. Changed his nappy but he’s still asleep. Please help

Leaky nappy help

What nappies are you using to stop leaks?? We use pampers ultra dry size 5, and for the past few nights he has lashed through and we’ve had to completely change him during the night. Last night he leashed through twice!! He sleeps on his front and stays leaks through at the top of his leg where the tabs connect. Didn’t know whether to size up, he has a bit of a belly on him but he’s smack in middle of weight guidance so shouldn’t need too

5.30am wakeups 😫😴

My 15 week old has started waking up about 5.30am and is really hard to settle back down - it’s like he thinks it’s time to wake up for the day. He used to go to bed at 9pm and was up at 8am but now he goes to bed between 7.30-8pm as he’s knackered by then but waking up at 5.30am😴. Any advice to get him to sleep a little longer in the morning?! Even an extra hour would be lovely 🤣

New born

Finally had my baby girl via C-section on the 18th, everything has been so far. But I’ve noticed she’s very fussy and cries a lot. I’ve been trying to exclusively breastfeed. The lactation consultant at the hospital said I did look like I’m making enough milk for her. She was latching on good at the hospital and now here at home, she doesn’t seem to want to latch at all. She’s been crying a lot and very fussy. I’m just wondering is she’s colic or like maybe she just doesn’t want the breast anymore?
