Anyone else get really nervous about knocks to their bump?! Don’t ask me how but I knocked my tummy putting on my socks and then I freak out that I’ve harmed little one!

Yes I'm the same. Especially if my dog jumps up and catches my stomach. He's only a small dog but it makes you worry. But then after iv felt her move or kick I feel reassured again. X
Glad I’m not the only one. My husband squeezed bump this morning and I panicked he’d squeezed too hard!

The bubba’s are well cushioned don’t worry too much. If it makes you feel any better two weeks ago I fainted front first and smacked right into concrete, messed myself up and hit my bump and Bubs was all fine.
This is not to say don’t be careful but just to help put your mind at ease at how protected they are.
gosh I’m so sorry to hear about your fainting, that must have been terrifying for you at the time. I’m glad you are both well. Thank you for the reassurance x

Indeed it was but, you know all turned out fine. I try not to dwell on it too much but in a way it alleviated some anxieties I had around accidentally knocking bump because I saw first had how cushioned. In saying that, I am hoping no one actually knocks their bump lol it’s too stressful when it happens!

It really depends on which stage you are in your pregnancy. At the earlier stages 1st and 2nd trimester the baby has loads of cushion with the amniotic fluid. As you progress through the 3rd trimester the baby has less cushion and you’re more ‘full of baby’ so falls and bumps can impact baby more… that being said, babies bones are not fully calcified ie they’re more pliable.
Obviously, be careful throughout pregnancy but especially during the third trimester.
