What happens once you’ve delivered your baby?
I’m due for induction tomorrow 🤞🏻 and no one has mentioned what happens afterwards regarding metformin or eating etc x

I had GD and was told I no longer needed to monitor after I'd given birth, take metformin or be strict over my diet as it's only a problem in pregnancy itself and should correct itself after birth. However they did say that I'd be invited for a blood test after 6 weeks to double check my levels had gone back to normal x

Similar to above, as soon as I delivered I didn't have to test or anything anymore. Baby jade to have 2 blood sugars done before feeds whilst in hospital and if they were above 2 then it was fine. I have to have a blood test 12 weeks after to check levels but that's it :) x

Thank you ladies 🤞🏻 your levels will be fine when they’re tested x

I was told this time had to stay 24 hours. Baby had two test and I had to carry on testing for 24 hours. The my gd midwife said my levels could be higher and I even forgot do the last test but they said it was fine.

Induction?

Anyone been induced before? Was it more painful? Better than thought? Worse than thought? Worth it? Thoughts?

Baby names

My daughter‘s name is valentýna and I’m struggling to find other nice girl and boy names beginning with V I’ve got a few and I’ve got loads that aren’t beginning with V, but I feel like I wanna go for all vs and I also love girl and boys names that match so because my daughter’s name is valentýna I would love to call my son Valentino my husband does not agree 😃

Induction or c section?

As a last resort, would you rather be induced or have a planned c section?

Really not liking the thought of being induced from people’s experiences I’ve read!

Almost 37 weeks + told to do another growth scan

I just had my second to last doctor’s appointment this morning, and my OB told me she wants me to do another growth scan because my belly is measuring small. She says it’s probably just because I’m a smaller woman, but they like to be safe. It’s hard to hear though, since I just did one a couple months ago.

I did this with my firstborn around this time of pregnancy, so I do think I just carry smaller (even though I don’t feel like I look “small” at all). My first baby was 6lbs 15oz when she was born at 41 weeks + 2 days. I’m having this baby at 39 weeks on April 7. I hope she’s still at least 6lbs.

Anyone have any stories similar to this?
