Think I have the worlds worst sleeper 🫠🙈

My little girl just turned 10 months and still doesn’t sleep through at night! I think she’s done it maybe 2/3 times! She’s EBF and has never been great at self settling. I feel like she’s been in one long regression haha! However, we were getting into a bit of a patch of her only waking once for a feed which I could handle! Dreaded when I do stop feeding her completely as feel like I’ll have no way of settling her at night then! Just needed to have a rant from a very tired mum lol

You’re not alone! I have a nearly 10 month old, and she also has literally never slept through the night 😩 she is also EBF, and wants the comfort of a boob every night. Even when we co-sleep she still wakes up, I’ve just come to accept that that’s my life now and eventually it will get better 🤞🏻 so hard though, as I’m back at work full time now too, so every day is a real struggle 🤦🏼‍♀️ but hey, we’ve got this! Xx

Oh my goodness you are so not alone. My 10 month old has been waking hourly the last few nights due to a new tooth and she usually wakes 3 times a night for a feed.
Last week she refused the boob during the night and I was so upset. I felt like I had lost my super power to get her back to sleep and my husband took over.

If it’s any consolation my 2.5 year old still wakes up once in the night for a cuddle. When I stopped feeding him at night my husband took over for the first few nights which helped and then I could take over without him wanting the boob.

Thanks ladies! It’s comforting to know we’re all in the same sleep deprived boat haha my 3.5 year old slept through from around 6 months and has been a great sleeper since then! So it’s a real shock to my system having these constant wake ups! She’s teething and super snotty with a cold at the moment and going through a developmental leap so I feel like everything is against us with sleep anyway lol. I just try and tell myself it won’t be like this forever and hopefully soon she will magically turn a corner! X

Not alone! I think this is very typical for a EBF baby. I think that it’s not as common to be breastfeeding at this age so you don’t hear enough about night wakings. Hey sleepy baby on IG always makes me feel better

I tried not to make her EBF, she hates formula and hates bottles lol x

You’re definitely not alone! My LO is 10 months next week and has never slept through. She wakes for 1-2 bottles a night, one week she will be great at settling and just drops off, then the next 3 she will scream every time she goes near the cot!! She’s generally a very happy go lucky baby until you have to do anything to do with sleep!! It’s exhausting and frustrating and there is no pattern to it!

Ah well! These littles have minds of their owns! Truly not a judgment on feeding styles - just that BM digests faster and so typically more nighttime feeds 🤷🏻‍♀️ it will get better with time as solids pick up. Just a patience thing. You’ve got this!!

My boy is 13 months old and still doesn't sleep though the night. Some babies don't sleep through till their 2.

Avatar

she’s been on solids since 4.5 months and has 3 meals a day and snacks lol she likes her food. I know deep down I’ll miss feeding her when I do eventually stop! X

Same over here! But he’s never slept through, not even once. Some nights are better than others but atm it’s been every 2 hours I’m in to him for weeks. Longest we had was 4 hour blocks and I’d do anything for that now 😅 I’m so tired I feel sick!

My LO is 10 months & hasn't slept through since he was 4 months old - he's got new teeth coming through atm too so it's even worse now! Usually wakes 2-3 times but it's every 2 hours atm. You're not alone, it's absolutely exhausting, and you're doing great! Xx

My one has been waking up 1-2 hourly each night since about 3-4 months. Day time only naps for max 15-20mins if that.
It’s been hell 🫣

Avatar

Definitely not alone, my 10 month old has never slept through a night in his whole life, wakes twice for a feed (and is formula fed!). He’s going through a really fun time of screaming blue murder when I try put him down for his second nap. Help 😭😂

Avatar

Exactly the same for me! My baby is almost 11 months and she’s never slept through the night. She’s EBF and will only settle for me on a night 😵‍💫 xx

Avatar

Only 50 % of babies will sleep through the night at 10 months old. Mine never has. She's 10 months 13 days.

We're also in the absolute zero sleep through the night club!🌙🙃🌌

Leaky nappy help

What nappies are you using to stop leaks?? We use pampers ultra dry size 5, and for the past few nights he has lashed through and we’ve had to completely change him during the night. Last night he leashed through twice!! He sleeps on his front and stays leaks through at the top of his leg where the tabs connect. Didn’t know whether to size up, he has a bit of a belly on him but he’s smack in middle of weight guidance so shouldn’t need too

New born

Finally had my baby girl via C-section on the 18th, everything has been so far. But I’ve noticed she’s very fussy and cries a lot. I’ve been trying to exclusively breastfeed. The lactation consultant at the hospital said I did look like I’m making enough milk for her. She was latching on good at the hospital and now here at home, she doesn’t seem to want to latch at all. She’s been crying a lot and very fussy. I’m just wondering is she’s colic or like maybe she just doesn’t want the breast anymore?

5.30am wakeups 😫😴

My 15 week old has started waking up about 5.30am and is really hard to settle back down - it’s like he thinks it’s time to wake up for the day. He used to go to bed at 9pm and was up at 8am but now he goes to bed between 7.30-8pm as he’s knackered by then but waking up at 5.30am😴. Any advice to get him to sleep a little longer in the morning?! Even an extra hour would be lovely 🤣
