so i am 25w3d and i’m currently having a stay in the hospital because of bad cramping pains and i’ve found out today from ultrasound that my cervix is “funnelling” on the inside under baby’s head and is open approximately 1.5cm!
it is still 5cm in length and closed and thick from the outside but just wondered if anyone has had this before and if they carried to full term or what their experience was like as i’m really worried about preterm labour now i’m scared to walk around just incase 😭
and to top it off my baby is on the 99th percentile and weighs roughly 2.5lbs at 25 weeks, amazing ☺️☺️

I'm nearly 23 weeks and there's times I have menstrual like cramping, its só bad sometimes.

I’m on progesterone to stop this happening, after an early delivery with my first and surgery to my cervix, they told me it was a precaution.
Hopefully they have given you some reassurance about what’s going on and have a plan for the remainder of your pregnancy to keep a close eye on you and baby ☺️ that’s brilliant that baby has been growing so well though, if they do decide to arrive ahead of schedule, having the extra weight on them really helps.
