Im 25 weeks pregnant and my best friend was pregnant with her second, i just found out that she's miscarried (shed have been about 10 weeks) and its totally rattled me. I just feel i want to help her but with an obvious bump and as far along as i am i dont know if ill upset her 🙈 we've been friends for years and have no secrets and support each other in everything we do.
Anyone had this experience with someone close?

Back in September I had a miscarraige and one of my best friends had just found out she was pregnant. She knew we'd been trying for a while and the circumstances so she kindly told me she was pregnant over text so I didn't just see it on Facebook for example and sort of just asked me where I was at and what I needed from her as she was pregnant. Both of us already have a child so I was grateful for some normality a lot of the time and she never brought up her pregnancy - even though it was obvious she only brought it up if I asked.
Not sure if that helps or not but for me people kept being normal and I would bring stuff up as and when I was ready just had to be in my own time xx
Yeah shes deff not one to shy away or make me feel bad for being pregnant and shes got her wee girl as well.
It does help, weve been through so much together and i just want to be there for her. Acting normal is a good suggestion, she'd probably prefer that !
Thank you for sharing its helped x

After my miscarriage my friend prepared a care package for me - pads, chocolate, painkillers etc and said she was dropping it round and I didn’t have to see her if I didn’t want to. We ended up doing a house project that day together and I’ve not laughed that much in a long time. I think let her take the lead in what she’s able to handle on any given day but make sure to check in as it can be an incredibly isolating experience and she’ll be trying to act normal for her little girl - maybe offer to take little girl if she needs time to herself to grieve.

My friend was pregnant while I miscarried and the best thing she did for me was ask what I wanted instead of assuming she needed to stay away. She asked if I wanted to see and let me know before sharing any photos or updates which I really appreciated
Im unfortunately away this weekend and i feel awful for not being able to pop round but by her texts shes been pretty tired and sleeping on and off 🙈 i wanted to do a care pack but honestly has no idea what to include!
Ill deff let her take the lead. Thank you for all the advice 🙏
