What is one thing that you wish you knew about breastfeeding and pumping before you had your first child? For me it’s the fact that I didn’t have to pump! Or that baby was probably getting enough from the breast and I didn’t have to always give a bottle.

I never breastfed because I thought you put baby on the breast and boom! magic happened. I never knew it was a learning progress for both mom and baby. The fact that she would cry whenever I tried to latch, really messed my mental health up, so I gave up fairly easily.
I’m 6 months into exclusively pumping. At first, the midwife told me to not pump more than 10min, which I only found out was rubbish advice (for someone that wanted to exclusively pump). Luckily, that didn’t affect my supply.
