Postpartum body

Hey ladies
I’m feeling so low about my body postpartum. I’ve put on soo much weight that I can’t stand to look at myself. My arms legs and stomach are big and I’m just not use to seeing my body like this. With summer around the corner I’m dressing dressing up in dresses that shows my arms with a mummy pouch coming out.
I’m just not use to it
I see my friends and other mummy’s with their bodies bouncing straight back after birth and I am just so jealous.

I don’t know if anyone has advice on how I can start to focus on my weight loss. I try and excercise but sleep deprivation doesn’t help. I go in daily walks and I’ve cut down sugar

Not sure what the purpose of this post is. Maybe just needed a vent or something.
But yeah any advice how I can start will be greatly appreciated

You aren’t alone! It can take 12 months before you even start to feel like your old self hormonally. Give it time and you will start to see the changes and feel better. Definitely just focus on eating what is good for you, and don’t put any pressure on yourself.

I got an app called Noom it helps teach you the psychology of eating which I found helps. It does involve weighing every day and calorie counting but it works.. I've lost 12kg so far, baby also born in April so it's been a slow burn and motivation wanes but need to keep going.. I am about 5kg off being my goal weight, but even so after pregnancy my stomach is still bigger and so are my boobs and I still have to order a size up. I have to accept my body has changed permanently and I guess our bodies are supposed to change with pregnancy so it's hard

Changed due date

Anyone had their date change at 12 weeks scan?

I used my last period and also fully tracked ovulation, I had a due date Oct 10.

In my 12 week scan they said Oct 15

Now I don’t know which to use as I know the 12 week scan can place things wrong due to the tiniest millimetre off measurement

What did others go by and what was accurate?

Second baby here!

Damp pants.. can your waters go incredibly slowly lol

Or did I pee 😅

I woke up this morning with a damp patch in my undies that I noticed when I pulled my pants up after a wee.. I did smell it and it doesn’t smell like wee and I got my husband to smell (lol) and it didn’t smell like wee to him either but I’m also very hydrated...

I have sat over the toilet and nothing is dripping out of me so I think maybe I just lost a bit of wee over night or just before I noticed?
I’m 39+3 FTM

No other real symptoms of labour just heavily pregnant discomfort

Birthday

So idk if this would be considered bd drama, but he just texted me “happy birthday” my birthday isn’t until April 20th, we’ve known each other since 2024. And I just feel a little sad that he doesn’t know my birthday. Should I appreciate that he tried? Or be upset that after all this time he still doesn’t know my birthday?

Elective C-section

Guys I'm 13 weeks but I'm already extremely terrified of birth and specially tearing and injuries down there. I'm thinking I'd rather suffer the pain from the c section than going through natural labour. I like the thought of everything being planned and I'd know what's going on. Any of you in a similar situation?

Fried rice noodles 🍜

The first craving my Asian ancestors in my body is asking for during my first trimester.😎
I went from no appetite to have three bowls of them straight 😂
I feel pretty healthy too as I added in lots of bean sprouts, carrots cabbage, onion and broccoli for veggies; eggs, tofu and beef meatballs for protein.
Ahhh I am just so happy 😀

Early labour

So it has been a bit of joke with my husband that I won't realise when I'm in the early stages of labour as I will just crack on (I had a cyst 18 months ago which I just got on with as I didnt want to bother anyone)
Anyway to the point I'm 39+6 with our first. I've had loose BM for a couple of days and go to bed feeling sick for the last 3 nights. I have had a few cases of quite intense cramping but it only lasts a few seconds. Is this is all signs my body is preparing itself. I don't see my midwife till I'm 40+3 so can't ask her till then?
I haven't lost my mucus plug or atleast not noticeably.
