Hey girls. I had my 25week appt and asked the midwife about csection and told her that's what I would prefer. She told me to tell them when I was at the hospital for my next scan (I'm getting one at 32weeks due to low placenta) but that seems quite late and I thought it was up to midwife to refer. I think if I wait and go to hospital for scan and mention it there they will just tell me to ask my midwife to refer. Anyone else advise what they did or who referred them for an elective?

I am shared care so midwife/consultant appointments and I basically mentioned it at every appointment I had that I was considering it - at 32 weeks with the consultant I asked him to book it in and he wouldn’t - I think he thought I still had hesitations, he said he wanted me to take a bit more time to consider all the options and if I still wanted a C-section it would be booked at my 36 week appointment consultant appt. It was then at this appointment it was booked for me for 39 weeks x
I'll have to say to them again cause I'm midwife led so wont see a consultant unless properly referred and the didnt seem keen. But I've made up my mind 99% so just want to get the ball rolling especially since I'm due over new year period when there will be less staff about.
