19 month old waking up

Omg. I’ve been so worried about my son doing this recently. It’s randomly throughout the night that he cries and screams in his sleep. I have no idea what it could be. But I have an appointment for him coming up so 🤞🏼 he is also 19 months

My son started doing it even more after my daughter was born. And his doctor won't do anything about it

I just went through this with my 19 month old it lasted almost 2 months. Honestly I tried everything but the only thing that worked was sleep training again. When he would cry I would go in his room, not turn on the lights, I’d change his diaper, rock/read a book to him and lay him back down in his crib. He did scream/cry for the first few days for about 20-30 minutes but now he’s sleeping from 7pm-6:45/7 am. I also got a tot clock that changes from red to green when it is time for him to wake up it’s taken 2 weeks but he’s starting to understand it! I really hope this helps because I know how awful it is!

@Rachel yes! The scream is a terrified scream I don't usually hear from my son. Breaks my heart

My son used to do it, it has to do with his dreams sometimes and the energies around him I know I sound crazy but I pray over my 20month old son and he hasn’t done it since he was at his dads..

@Lissette I've wondered about that because when my son is in his room he'll point to nothing and laugh sometimes and doesn't do it anywhere else in the house.
