Have recieved a random eviction notice through my door from my landlady. Section 21… for no reason? She isn’t even answering me… I’m 4 months pregnant & it was hard enough to get this flat as it is! 😒

You can tell them you won’t leave and they’ll put in a Section 21 notice, which you have the opportunity to appeal. But there’s a good chance that the appeal won’t be successful and the court will approve the notice as they only reject it based on a few criteria. You might get an extension due to your pregnancy if the courts are favourable to you, but it’s likely that you will still have to move, so it is probably best to start looking. You’d also probably want a solicitor to help with the paperwork, so that’s an extra cost to think of.
Section 21 doesn’t mean there’s ‘no reason’, it means you’re not at fault, ie they’re not evicting due to lack of rent payment or you otherwise breaking the tenancy agreement, as in those cases they’d likely use Section 8. It could be, for example, that they need to sell the property for whatever reason, or to move in themselves.
I know it’s really hard, and I really do sympathise with you having to deal with finding somewhere new while pregnant

If you refuse, bailiffs will be called and you will be evident and the council will have to move you as they can't leave you homeless and pregnant

bailiffs are quite a few steps away, they haven’t even applied for a court order yet, only sent notice

Similar boat, our landlord has tried twice and failed but now he's corrected everything I know the move is imminent we're just waiting for him to send the papers again. Get on the council list and don't leave till the bailiffs force you to, which requires her to go through the courts after the date on your notice so you've got some time. They might give you extra time due to being pregnant. Also citezans advice, your local mp, the school if you have more kids, maybe even your midwife/gp might be able to offer extra help

I’m going through this too, landlord is selling house and council are waiting for it to go to court and they actually send someone to evict us before they even help us “we’ve still got a roof over our heads so not priority” 🤦🏽♀️ it is unbelievably stressful with a 6 month old & pregnant and I just hope we get housed before baby no2 comes!!!
