Planning a 2nd child, how do you co-sleep when pregnant?

Just thinking ahead as we are planning for a 2nd child, my son is 1 and we have introduced a floor bed in his own room which he goes down in really well at bedtime but either I end up in his bed/he ends up back in ours during the nighttime. We’re still breastfeeding and I tend to breastfeed to sleep in the nighttime as it requires zero energy 😂 (anything for a good nights sleep!), but if I did fall pregnant I’m just unsure of how I’d co-sleep with a bump as he sometimes kicks me when he feeds and sleeps. Just curious to know how others have approach this?

I don’t have experience with this but I do know that unless he kicks you hard enough for it to hurt I think that the fetus will be fine with some little kicks from the outside, I read that most of the time if you bump your pregnant belly it’s normally fine unless it was with a very large amount of pressure like in a car accident or if you fell kinda thing.. your body is pretty good at keeping baby safe and protected.

I coslept a lot whilst pregnant, I just kept reminding him when we were settling to sleep to be careful of baby, and point to tummy, as he tends to climb over me when he was waking up or whatever. He became very aware of my belly, and was very careful. Occasionally I got a little kick accidentally but nothing bad at all. We co slept quite well virtually the whole pregnancy, although I did try and get him sleeping with dad more, as I needed a little space. Worked sometimes haha.

Just as a forewarning, I wanted to continue breastfeeding but found it incredibly hard with how painful breastfeeding became when I was pregnant. So try and have another way to settle your first as well as breastfeeding so the transition isn’t as hard if you do have to stop.

Leaky nappy help

What nappies are you using to stop leaks?? We use pampers ultra dry size 5, and for the past few nights he has lashed through and we’ve had to completely change him during the night. Last night he leashed through twice!! He sleeps on his front and stays leaks through at the top of his leg where the tabs connect. Didn’t know whether to size up, he has a bit of a belly on him but he’s smack in middle of weight guidance so shouldn’t need too

4 month bed time

What time do you put your babies to bed?
What time do you start your 'routine?'
My LO currently goes to bed around 10.30pm, and I know i need to start bringing it forward. Everytime ive tried, it takes longer for my LO to settle.
We are exclusively breastfeeding. Any advice Mamas?

New born

Finally had my baby girl via C-section on the 18th, everything has been so far. But I’ve noticed she’s very fussy and cries a lot. I’ve been trying to exclusively breastfeed. The lactation consultant at the hospital said I did look like I’m making enough milk for her. She was latching on good at the hospital and now here at home, she doesn’t seem to want to latch at all. She’s been crying a lot and very fussy. I’m just wondering is she’s colic or like maybe she just doesn’t want the breast anymore?

5.30am wakeups 😫😴

My 15 week old has started waking up about 5.30am and is really hard to settle back down - it’s like he thinks it’s time to wake up for the day. He used to go to bed at 9pm and was up at 8am but now he goes to bed between 7.30-8pm as he’s knackered by then but waking up at 5.30am😴. Any advice to get him to sleep a little longer in the morning?! Even an extra hour would be lovely 🤣
