Vertigo and prochlorperazine

I was prescribed it for vertigo not in pregnancy and it didn’t work for me. I’ve also taken it for HG in 3 pregnancies and it didn’t work for me then either 😬

My dr was going to prescribe it for me as cyclizine isn’t doing too well for when i feel sick but then he called me back and told me sorry he couldn’t prescribe it when your in your 3rd trimester so just double check on that x

did they check your bloods?

yeah they did - said everything was fine apart from my white blood cells were slightly elevated which could indicate an infection somewhere!

then it wont be vertigo if youve got an infection, and white blood cells can mean inflammation and infection, or physical and emotion distress makes it elevated too, and also vertigo is not feeling dizzy its more than that, its like the room is spinning around you rather than feeling lightheaded/dizzy if that makes sense? i would be reluctant to keep taking the tablets especially if theyve misdiagnosed you, id get a second opinion x

They said that vertigo like symptoms are caused by an infection as it isn’t actually a condition in itself - likely to be in the inner ear.

Yeah it’s been in my eyes and when I turn my head - I’ve had dizzy spells before and they’ve not been anything like this! Only way I can describe it is like being absolutely hammered.

I had a midwife appointment yesterday and she agreed with what they’d said - I’ve also had a second lot of bloods done

They actually said it was called something like BPPV
