I would rather use my stainless steel sink that can be sanitized. Bacteria can breed and live on/in plastic surfaces. Stainless steel doesn’t hold bacteria like plastic even when plastic is sterilized.

Dr Dixon, I have always wondered why even use a basin or sink at all? I prefer to hand wash each piece in running water individually prior to sterilizing, and never let pieces touch a sink or basin, and never let pieces soak in water which could have bacteria.

Or you can scrub your sink and disinfect it before hand. Dose no one wash and clean and disinfect their sink after washing dishes 🤯
However I truly love this idea. To keep everything together. Im always loosinf pieces to my bottles or my pumps.

do what is best for you 🤎

as EP, we have more pump parts so it’s a lot to do for some people so a basin works better to hold dishes until we are ready to wash

it is not recommended by cdc to use your house sink even with disinfecting. If you want to use another basin that’s not plastic then do what is best for you

we do not wash meat in our sink either, but we use separate basin. Plastic works for our house, but if people want to use separate basin that’s stainless steel then do what is best for you

Thank you very much for the explanation Dr Dixon!!

they have some on Amazon 😊 just type in stainless steel wash basin
