Washing Baby Clothes

Hi all, at what point are people going to start washing everything? I know some people don’t do it at all. But I will be washing all the clothes, and don’t know when to do it.

I’ll probably do it all in December xx

In November most likely, I’m sorting through all my sons old bits this month so I know what I do and don’t have for this baby, then will buy what’s missing and wash everything together.
I don’t want to wait too long- my son was born a month early and if this one is early too, I just want to be ready!

I think I did it when I went on mat leave with my first, so some time after 36/37 weeks

Probably once my maternity leave starts and I have free time. I wash my own clothes before first wear (you don’t know how it was stored), so why would baby’s be different?

My maternity leave starts a week before Christmas, as I’m working as close as possible to my due date. So I don’t think I’ll have much time to leave it that late and that close to Christmas. I might just do it at the end of November/beginning of December.

End of Nov/early Jan I think so its still fresh!

I’m due end of January and am just chucking a couple of baby bits in every time I do a wash so I don’t have to sort it all out at once x

December likely unless a nice weekend happens at the end of November and I can get it outside. Xx

I’m due end of January so probably and the start of jan when I get back from Christmas.
Planning on having everything else done before I go away in December so all that’s left it final touches and clothes xx

Beginning of Jan we are. Getting Christmas out the way , putting decs away etc to then set up for baby girl

I’m due mid January and have literally washed dried and vacuum bagged everything so it all got done in the nice weather 😅 clothes, bedding, the next to me cot fabrics, carriers basically whatever can be done has been.. we’ve been lucky and managed to get most things second hand so I wanted to know it was all done and ready so didn’t have to worry about it before or after Christmas xxx

Beginning of December. Big clothes sort out into sizes and then get it all washed. Can't wait 😂

Going to do mine around 30 weeks in case of an early arrival!

Pregnant with baby 2

Hi everyone! I gave birth via emergency c section 9 months ago as my baby boy was measuring big, he pooped inside so there was risk of him inhaling it and I wasn’t progressing past 3cm to have a natural birth and now I’m currently 20 weeks pregnant with my 2nd baby. I’m having a consultation on Tuesday to talk about birth options and to have any questions answered but I don’t know what to ask. I feel like it would be safer having a c section again but at the same time I don’t want a c section. Does anyone have any question ideas I could ask or any advice/stories of similar situations. Tia

Side affects, long term dependency, supply shortages and costs, regaining the weight back as soon as you get off them.. all that ASIDE how do people not see just from a zoomed out perspective how crazy it is. I can’t imagine being someone facing food insecurity in an underdeveloped country and watching westerners give themselves daily jabs so they can lose weight while still eating a calorie surplus/ crappy foods. It’s giving hunger games when district 12 Katniss finds out at the party at the capital that people eat and then take a pill to make themselves sick so they can 🤮 and eat some more. These ads running ozempic everywhere are disgusting, and then getting amazing athletes like Serena Williams to push them talking bout “i’ve never been healthier” girl you were an OLYMPIC athlete wym??

Has anyone had a planned c section and been home the same day?

Getting pregnant after c section

When did you get pregnant again after a c section? Our plan was always to have 2 under 2 but that is now out the window because I had an emergency section. I know they say 18 months and we will be sticking to it (as much as I don’t want to) but I’m curious how quickly you got pregnant after your section?

Movements

I’m 28 weeks tomorrow. Yesterday I had loads and loads of movements but today I have only felt small flutters and a couple of kicks throughout the day. I get so confused as some people say they don’t have a pattern but others say they do. We have a Doppler so used it this evening and could hear the heartbeat and then moving but does anyone else get quieter days of movement than others? I am seeing my midwife tomorrow so will check but just find myself getting anxious about it and don’t know when to get checked. I know they encourage it but last time as soon as I got to triage baby started moving loads!

Clogged ducts, eye gunk

Little Theo has been having really gunky eyes, we’ve taken him to the doctor and the a and e and they’ve said it’s most likely a clogged duct, anyone else’s baby have this and was there anything to do about it? I feel horrible constantly wiping his eye xx
