I’m 8weeks PP and I have been experiencing night sweats. I am waking up with damp bedding and my whole body sweating. Talked to my OB and said it’s because of my hormones and said typically he would give BC, but I am breastfeeding so that’s out. I never used to sweat like this, or have these hot flashes, or night sweats like this before pregnancy. Anyone else experiencing this? Any suggestions on how to manage, or help? I already sleep with minimal clothing on and our bedroom is pretty cold.

The night sweats are rough - I had them really bad pp too- take a cool shower before and after bed and wear loose fitting clothing. Basically your body is sweating out all the extra hormones as I understand it. It will pass I promise

Yes!! I'm 5 weeks PP i was sweating the same, but my OB said it's normal and will go away on its own. The last two nights I haven't been sweating, so hopefully, it has stopped. I was told by the OB that it could last for weeks.

I didn't do anything for it. I just went through it.

Gosh I thought I was through it and then this morning I woke up drenched 😩

My first 6 weeks were treacherous, I was waking up feeling like I had a 5 gallon bucket poured on me and I would be freezing and shaking. Mine has finally calmed down

@Nicole i promise it gets better 🤎 hang in there mama

@Layla yes I was cold and shaking too but drenched all at the same time

I'm 2 month pp and the night sweats are real I hate waking up in sweat I started taking a cool shower and loose clothing

I was having this issue and started the mini pill because it’s not supposed to affect supply and I’ve noticed since starting it and Zoloft my supply increased also if you have to get up and walk around the cooler parts of the house especially if you sleep with your door closed

I experienced this right after birth for 4 weeks if had stop but now at 6 weeks it's starting again

Definitely not alone! PP hormones are CRAZY, but they will pass! I got a cooling mattress protector so the bed wouldn’t absorb my heat and it helps a lot, along with the fan. Make sure you drink lots of water too
