I weighed 216 lbs before pregnancy in Jan/feb and this entire pregnancy I’m only at 221.4 lbs (34w1d). My doctor isn’t concerned because I’ve been eating so good… fresh fruit and water or milk is my craving so he thinks me eating better has maintained/helped me during pregnancy. But some of my family members are always saying “that’s not normal you need to see a second doctor, are you sure baby is okay with that little weight gain?”

I was the same way! I actually lost 15 pounds first trimester. Then i finally started to gain some 28 weeks and on.

If you're heavier to begin with it's totally normal to maintain weight your whole pregnancy. As long as baby has been meeting growth requirements and Dr isn't concerned I wouldn't worry!

I haven’t gained any weight the past month. I asked about it and my doc said that’s fine and they usually only worry if you gain weight too fast or are intentionally trying to lose weight. He also said how you are measuring plays a factor and if everything is on track you are fine. My friend didn’t gain any during her pregnancy because she is so active and she just gave birth to a healthy baby. I’m sure you’ll continue to get unsolicited advice after the baby is here too lol it’s unavoidable.

I haven't gained any weight yet either and I'll be 34 weeks on Tuesday. I'm actually down around 10 lbs since pre pregnancy but my ob isn't concerned because my baby is measuring fine. I think everybody is just so different with how they carry and how their body goes through with the pregnancy

Idk what your goal weight is and if you were there or not, but if you are overweight then you shouldn't gain too much during pregnancy. So long as baby is fine it's not an issue

Omg! Yesterday I was the same 216 before pregnancy my first and second trimester I lost nothing but weight I went down to 207. At 28 I started gaining weight little by little like a pound or two now that I’m 34 weeks my recent appointment I gained back all the weight I lost 😂 so I’m back at 216💀 but I get I’m eating right or should be eating more throughout my whole pregnancy 😐 my doctor never saw a concern either cause I ate nothing but right throughout my pregnancy. But now that I’m gaining weight I don’t hear people nagging off my ears

I only gained 5 pounds and that’s as of recent
I was losing weight my entire pregnancy

My MIL says that’s just the baby using your reserves before using anything you’re currently eating. As long as baby is measuring up to standards, there should be little concern. I started at like 190 and now I’m at 222, but that’s only because I gained 5 lbs within the last visit. My doctor hadn’t said anything about being concerned about weight gain until this visit, so I assumed I was doing fine. Some bodies are just different Sis ♥️

I was loosing weight my entire pregnancy at a safe pace. My Dr actually told me the same thing happened to her, baby knows what they need and willingly take it.

Same situation. Your body just repurposed the body fat you had towards your baby and take most of what we intake and also distribute that to the baby. With us fluffier beautiful ladies we don't tend to gain as much during pregnancy.

I started at 219- lost 9 lbs early on - now I’m up to 229 at 34 weeks. They haven’t mentioned any concern. My dr said the baby takes what they need, and mine is measuring average size. Weight gain doesn’t determine how healthy your baby is!

I weighed 315 when I got pregnant and I'm almost 35 weeks and 299.

i didn’t gain much weight either and my baby is due in just 3/4 weeks and my baby is measuring big , but i lost weight in my first trimester from being sick so i think that’s why but as long as baby is measuring good that’s all that matters !

I weighed 228 when I got pregnant and lose a good amount of weight (20pounds) and then only gained 6 pounds now and I’m 34 weeks and 3 days and my baby is perfectly healthy and she’s a big gal lol
It’s normal for people with a higher BMI to either lose weight in the beginning and gain a little or just gain a little weight while pregnant
If your doctor isn’t concerned I wouldn’t be :) some people don’t understand that every pregnancy and pregnant body is different 💕

I gained 10 kg because I am already petite before my pregnancy but now I am not gaining and just eating a lot as it’s my third trimester and I am feeling extra hungry . I heard after delivery you shed some pounds ( don’t exactly know how much)

I've lost weight, and it takes a lot to ignore ppl comments about it. I'm very tall and my belly is small compared to others. As long as the doctor says the baby is in normal range I'm cool. It does mess with me head sometimes. I'm just not that hungry these days

My mom only gained 11 pounds with my 9 lb brother…if doctor isn’t concerned and baby’s growing well there’s no need to worry. I’d stop discussing scale numbers with my family tbh, your body isn’t theirs to comment on

I started at 274 and went down to 230 before my mom went on her campaign to fatten me back up now I'm at 238 at 33 weeks. I had WLS before getting pregnant but ive always measured on track and baby moves really good I think you're fine
