Anyone know if it’s best to see a chiropractor or orthopaedist for sciatica during pregnancy please? In bloody agony at the moment. It could be that I stupidly wore high heels on Thursday for an event (which I won’t do again) or this is a sign of what’s to come.

I’ve been seeing a chiropractor for mine and she really helps. It doesn’t completely get rid of the pain but makes it a lot more manageable but I can’t be realigned due to reacting to it so she’s just using massage and stretching at the moment

How did you react to it if you don’t mind me asking? Did you feel nervous going for the baby? Xx

The pain got worse for a couple of weeks but as soon as I mentioned it got worse she went back to just massage and it soon settled back down. I was a bit nervous but she reassured me loads and talks me through everything she’s doing and takes it at my pace. I also made sure I picked someone who specialises in pregnancy for extra reassurance

I find an osteopath helps, there is a specialist one for pregnancy and babies near me
