Vbac opinions?

I had a baby 6mo ago by emergency c-section. Not medicated. It was traumatic to say the least. I want to become pregnant again soon! I had a successful vaginal birth prior to the C-section. I’m wondering if any of you have + or - experiences with a vbac. How can I be sure my uterus is healed enough to become pregnant again?

Thanks!

Wait did I read this correctly…u had an unmediated C-section?! So u felt everything?! Oh my goodness! But anyways in response to ur question…a Vbac is definitely possible depending on why u had to have a C-section and they recommend 18 months after a C-section but my sister got pregnant 3 months after a C-section and went on to have a vaginal birth

I would wait past 10 months to get pregnant. Or longer if you can. I have a 19 month old and got pregnant 10 months pp. and I just had our baby through vbac. I think it also depends on why you had the c section to see if you’ll be able to have a vbac

Sorry I have no experience but I think they suggest not getting pregnant for 18 months after the section. Maybe that could lower the chances of successful vbac. You’ll have to double check but good luck!!

I heard you need to wait at least 18 months to fall pregnant again if you attempt a VBAC because that’s how long it takes the uterus to fully recover

I had a c section 2 weeks ago and was told to wait a year before getting pregnant ☺️

Most medical guidance is 12-18 months due to rupture risk, but we are all different in healing

I also had an emergency c-section and my doctor's advice was to wait at least 18m between births (not pregnancies) so you may want to wait a little longer to start trying

They say to wait at least 18 months if you want to have a vaginal birth normally if you become pregnant sooner they offer you a section to help reduce risks but it all really depends on where the placenta attaches itself. I think if it attaches to your scar there’s a risk or hemorrhage

I had Emergency C-section with my first and was determined to have a VBAC after that. I did and it was totally fine. I went on to have two further vaginal deliveries after that.

I had an emergency c-sec with my first and VBAC with my second- 21 months apart… the VBAC was a great experience and I’d highly recommend it, there is a risk of uterine rupture but they know that and monitor you closely

Day out after c section

Hey,
I had an emergency c section 1 week ago I obviously don't want a day out right now but I have things booked for the Easter holidays so in 2 weeks. I was just wondering if I will be overdoing it if I have a day out then or will I be ok? I would still take it as easy as I could. When did everyone feel good enough to go out?

Period like cramps

Hi
I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and I keep getting period like cramps I thought these were Brixton hicks but I’ve heard they only last 30 seconds ish as this can go on for a good time frame then go away and come back, they aren’t bad enough where I can’t do basic things they just feel like I’m about to get my period I’m jus wondering how normal this is? Baby is still very actively kicking xx

Invited to a chuckie cheese party but I don't have money and don't want to tell my daughter that's why we can't go. Does anyone know how their parties work?

I'm not sure how chuckie cheese parties are. If they give you money to play or not if you're in the party. And then I'm wondering if it's an actual birthday party or if they're just going to chuckie cheese. Some guy in my building told me a couple weeks ago that his son's birthday is today and he's thinking of doing chuckie cheese. They sent an invite but I feel so insecure not being able to afford anything. Like if they don't have food for example. Idk what to do.

Owlet

Anyone else’s owlet driving them mad?? It goes off 5/6 times night saying it can’t get a reading and needs a snug fit. My baby is 8 months old so moves a lot. It is driving me insane and I keep end up taking it off! Anyone had similar issues?

Reduced Movements

Has anyone else gone in for monitoring for reduced movements and as soon as you arrive at triage the baby starts moving and the CTG is normal? It makes me feel like I am over reacting.
