Weekly food shopping bill?

Mines so ridiculous for hardly anything! I shop at tescos and it's about £150 a week for 3 of us.

How much are your food shopping bills? And where do you shop?

Between £80-£90 a week for 3 of us, we shop at aldi. Still have to top up during the week on fresh stuff though x

Aldi most of the time and can be between £80-£100 a week, for 4 of us, but as Lauren said above that’s without topping up on some bits during the week. It’s defo got more expensive 🙈

Avatar

Mines about £60 a week at Aldi for 3, but we also go to costco once a month and get a few bits in bulk so probably evens out around £80ish a week 😊

Avatar

Around 80 a week for 4 of us, i shop at asda :) do it online so im not tempted by things that i can see about and also easier to choose cheaper alternatives which you might not necessarily spot in the shop :)

£80 a week for 5 in the week and 8 at the weekend x

Avatar

£80-100 a week at Tesco x

Avatar

We shop at Morrisons and for 3 of us it’s around £55. Maybe £10 for top ups through the week 😊

Avatar

@Charlee what do you eat? Serious question. There's 2 of us and I spend about 60

Avatar

Probably averages out at around £100 a week. But I don’t particularly try to keep it to a budget and a lot of what we buy isn’t essentials, I think I could absolutely feed our family for less if I tried to!

Avatar

Under £60 for tescos. What kind of foods are you ordering?

Avatar

Probably £100 a week on the actual food shop (dinners, fruit, milk, bread etc) and then about £40 a week on my eldest as she’s autistic and will only eat certain things/brands then like £20 top up shop in the week, I’ve definitely noticed prices have gone up a lot, we usually shop at Aldi for the usual food shop and then branded bits from where ever seems to have the best offers at the time

Avatar

Around £60 for two people. My daughter likes variety for her pack lunches. Then fresh bread or occasionally bottle of wine. I still think it's a lot for two people, but it's just basics..

Avatar

£45-£65 just me and my toddler. I save portions of food for freezer for following week etc and shop at Aldi. Get very little branded, wouldn’t shop elsewhere would cost way more. I will get little top ups of some things at morrisons though x

Avatar

For the 3 of us we’re about £80/£90 a week that’s a mix of Aldi and Asda prices of things these days are ridiculous especially things like fruit that have short shelf life it’s ridiculous!

Avatar

We budget £100 for 4/5 of us (plus a cat and a dog) a week
We sometimes go over it but that’s because we buy extras or non food items! Like today we bought Elodie a puddle suit and her advent calendar 🤣

Everything is just getting more and more expensive!

Mines around £200 a week for 3 of us (1 baby, 1 teen and me) including 2 dogs and a cat. Baby still in nappies, having some ella's fruit pouches and follow on formula which massively increases the bill. pet food around £25 a week included in that. i still buy odd bits throughout the week too though.

Avatar

Up to £60 a week for the 3 of us, I've found making a meal plan for the week to be really helpful

Avatar

ermm i make a dinner every night, we have lunches most days, husband has sandwiches i have whatevers left from the night before, we eat huge at dinner aswell so theres always leftovers going around, and then drinks were not drinkers or anything we drink coffee and juice, obviously my kids are at school so that does eliminate their lunches but its the same amount in the holidays x

Avatar

About £70 a week for 5 of us! I meal plan for dinners on a Saturday morning and go through the cupboard and freezer to see what we already have then do the food shop on a Monday morning after the school run! Both kids (9 and 5) have packed lunches but generally have the same kind of things but I only buy the chocolate biscuits/crisps that are on offer or own brand! If I buy things like chicken breast I tend to buy the bigger value packs and freeze some- that way when money is tight we have some! Maxi still in nappies I buy a bulk bag every other week and he still eats a lot of the pouches and baby snacks so tend to go to 2 or 3 different supermarkets a week to shop around for the best deal! The bulk of shopping I do in Tesco and make use of clubcard prices where I can, pouches and baby snacks in lidl (do a big stock up every other week and alternate with the nappies) nappies from Sainsbury’s!

Always have to get extra bread and milk midweek

Avatar

Probably £100 a week for family of 3, depends where I do my shop, usually Aldi or Tesco. I could probably do it a bit less though x

Avatar

I would say about the same £150 a week, we work from home and rarely have takeaways, so includes all meals. We try to get a lot of fresh fruit and salad, and that's what really seems to drive the cost up!

Avatar

£80-£100 a week at Asda for 3 of us. Once I've unpacked it all, it still looks like we need more stuff x

Mama needs new friends ✨

Hey mamas 🤍 I'm going to be honest — I'm at a season in my life where I'm craving real, genuine friendship. The kind where we actually check on each other. Where conversations go both ways. Where we can laugh, vent, cry, and just *be* without it feeling one-sided.

I'm a stay at home mom of 6 (yes, 6! 👏🏼) and my days are full but my cup feels a little empty in the friendship department. I'm looking for women who get it — the chaos, the beauty, the exhaustion, all of it.

If you're a mom who values deep, reciprocal friendship and you're also out here looking for your people — drop a 👋 below. Let's actually get to know each other. 🤍

Help

Really embarrassing!
I'm a first time mummy at 35, she's 16 month and everytime I sneeze or cough I lose control of my bladder and pee a little 😔, I've had countless utis since having her aswell! Will it get better? Or do I need to invest in panty liners? 😆

Leaving your baby

Has anyone else not left their baby to be looked after by someone else (not dad) yet? I still don't feel ready but am being told I should be by now

Random but when you use a vibrator do you need to hold your lips open for it to touch the bean ?

It gets annoying because even if I open my legs I still need to hold the lips open to touch the bean and I have to do it the entire time my lips are literally sealed closed 🤣
