C section tomorrow!!

Nerves are getting high now, can’t believe how fast it’s come around! I don’t know if I’m more nervous about the section or more nervous about becoming a mumma for the first time!!😩 just waiting impatiently now, want the section done and over with, the more I think about it, the more my mind is in overdrive about the whole thing!! Any words for encouragement?🤣🤣

I felt the exact same way the more I thought about the section I was terrified but it was totally fine, I would do it again if I had another baby 100%! It’s over so quickly and the staff are so good at what they do they are so calm and reassuring xx

youre going to have the best day ever tomorrow! nerves are normal! this is your last day of no baby so do some things just for you that you enjoy!

I'm two weeks away from mine and I'm also nervous. But I thin it's completely normal since we are going through a major life change. Pat yourself in the back for having come this far!!! Feeling nervous is a sign that you are excited for what's to come! Good luck mama

I had an emergency csection 6 weeks ago with my first baby and it was absolutely fine, it's normal to be nervous but really the staff will look after you and you'll be meeting your baby so soon 😊. I actually enjoyed my c section in the end, the failed induction prior to it I did not 😂. X

i had an emergency section and it was totally fine i was so scared of a c-section. if you’re worried about the spinal at all, i found an antisickness injection more painful than the spinal!
also my biggest bit of advice after a c-section wether you’re breastfeeding or bottle feeding a breastfeeding pillow is a must after a c-section if you don’t already have one. my tummy is still tender 4 weeks postpartum to touch and it keeps baby off my tummy whilst holding her
good luck! xx

I found my c section went so quick - before I knew it he was out and in my arms! And once they're in your arms you just forget all the fear (or at least I did!) x

Just had mine three weeks ago. And all I can say is feel all the feelings you have. Each of them are valid. Voice any concerns you have. Don’t stay quiet. If you need something say it. You can do this momma! Sending love and positive vibes. Goodluck

ps ask for a binder or get some sort of support shorts to travel home in.. that really helped me feel more comfy

The theatre staff are so lovely, calm, reassuring and professional. Even have a good sense of humor! Just listen to what they say as will help you stay calm and enjoy seeing your baby for the first time. Xx

Genuinely I felt the same about mine last week but honestly it was so much better than I expected! An elective is very relaxed and the recovery has been smoother than I expected!

I was alone when I got mine but I had a good support team there with me

My c-section was the best experience of my life and even though it was in emergency circumstances I’d do it all again in a heartbeat!! You’ll be great and recovery isn’t as bad as people try and scare you with!!
GOOD LUCK 💖💖

That’s so exciting!! Focus on getting your bag ready, how it will feel to hold your little one for the first time, and all the positive changes coming your way. I had an amazing c section experience and it was the most Stress free/ happiest moment of my life. Wish you a smooth recovery! It all goes by so fast

I have mine tomorrow as well. Hope you get on great. I don't know what to do with myself. I've made muffins lol. So scared but these comments from the lovely ladies is so helpful isn't it. I was really upset lady night as I didn't want today "day before" to come but I think we will wonder how we thought this after. We can do this. We are stronger than we probably give ourselves credit for. Will be thinking of you. Positive vibes to you xxx

Pregnant with baby 2

Hi everyone! I gave birth via emergency c section 9 months ago as my baby boy was measuring big, he pooped inside so there was risk of him inhaling it and I wasn’t progressing past 3cm to have a natural birth and now I’m currently 20 weeks pregnant with my 2nd baby. I’m having a consultation on Tuesday to talk about birth options and to have any questions answered but I don’t know what to ask. I feel like it would be safer having a c section again but at the same time I don’t want a c section. Does anyone have any question ideas I could ask or any advice/stories of similar situations. Tia

I have a feeling like I might get attacked from this but I’m going to say it anyways. incognito 🥸 GLP1s being mainstream for regular people who are NOT diabetic or morbidly obese is bad for so many reasons 💉💉💉

Side affects, long term dependency, supply shortages and costs, regaining the weight back as soon as you get off them.. all that ASIDE how do people not see just from a zoomed out perspective how crazy it is. I can’t imagine being someone facing food insecurity in an underdeveloped country and watching westerners give themselves daily jabs so they can lose weight while still eating a calorie surplus/ crappy foods. It’s giving hunger games when district 12 Katniss finds out at the party at the capital that people eat and then take a pill to make themselves sick so they can 🤮 and eat some more. These ads running ozempic everywhere are disgusting, and then getting amazing athletes like Serena Williams to push them talking bout “i’ve never been healthier” girl you were an OLYMPIC athlete wym??

Getting pregnant after c section

When did you get pregnant again after a c section? Our plan was always to have 2 under 2 but that is now out the window because I had an emergency section. I know they say 18 months and we will be sticking to it (as much as I don’t want to) but I’m curious how quickly you got pregnant after your section?

Movements

I’m 28 weeks tomorrow. Yesterday I had loads and loads of movements but today I have only felt small flutters and a couple of kicks throughout the day. I get so confused as some people say they don’t have a pattern but others say they do. We have a Doppler so used it this evening and could hear the heartbeat and then moving but does anyone else get quieter days of movement than others? I am seeing my midwife tomorrow so will check but just find myself getting anxious about it and don’t know when to get checked. I know they encourage it but last time as soon as I got to triage baby started moving loads!
