Hey mums,
My little guy has been kind of refusing to eat at the boob the last couple of days. He's EBF (other than the solids twice a day). He'll eat here and there, like a "snack" I call it. But yesterday he only had like 3 or 4 full feeds, when he usually has more. Today, he's had maybe one full feed, everything else has been a few gulps and that's it. He did eat his cereal with some chickpeas this afternoon - so he'll eat something. He like cries or freaks out sometimes when I lay him down on my lap to feed him - not every time.
Update: while about to post, he had another full feed. It's just so weird, like he's protesting or something. I know my letdown takes a little bit longer than usual, but it's been like that for about a month now, and he's never had a problem with it really. I also checked and it doesn't look like a tooth is ready to cut through or anything, so I don't think he's teething. He's fine with toys and soothers in his mouth (and spoons when he eats solids).
Has this happened to any of you? Did it pass?

My baby has been doing the exact same thing. Two things I found that have made a significant difference.
I tried not feeding him food/ purees for the day, and he took his usual amount of bottles and was much less fussy. For now, I am trialing feeding him less purees and focusing on bottle feeding for a bit. I feel at this age, his formula is more important.
Another thing that has helped tremendously is timing his feeds at his nap times. I wait until he is drowsy and almost asleep, then offer him the bottle. He takes the whole bottle every time I do this. I find when he is alert and playing he is way to stimulated and distracted to eat his bottle.

Our son is like that when he’s teething. I find he will eat like a crazy person for a couple of days then barely anything for like 5
