Tips on what to eat with GD

Hello all, I've been diagnosed with GD and am really struggling with what to eat. Especially for snacks and have been feeling really hungry at times. I was just wondering if anyone had any top tips for snacks especially that don't cause a huge glucose spike. I'm 30 weeks and want to be sure Babba is getting enough from me. TIA x

Following as had negative test but 4+ found in urine at midwife, home testing ends tomorrow and blood sugar levels have me thinking GD will be coming my way.

Trust me it hard, I've recently been put on insulin and it doesn't matter what I eat its not really having an effect at the moment. But I have Found some recipes online from the diabetic UK site that are worth having ago.

Honestly it's crazy. I'm on my 4th week of having gestational diabetes. I'm on 1000mg of metformin. I find snacks don't really affect my blood such as sweets, crisps, yoghurts.. but yet certain food does 🤷

Snacks usually fine are apples, peanut butter, popcorn... Maybe make homemade kale or spinach crisps

Zero or low carb wraps with cheese, meat and avocado are a go to of mine. You can basically eat as much of them as you like. My dietitian says healthy fats like cheese and avocado are good so I've been supplementing my diet with them
