I'm giving birth to my second and changed insurance (BCBS) Does anyone have a recommendation of an obgyn or midwife, and what hospital you experienced in Portland?

Legacy Emmanuel has midwifery in network with BCBS! And they have birthing tubs and a level IV NICU. Amazing reviews on Reddit too.

Assuming that BCBS means Blue Cross, Women’s Healthcare Associates is amazing. They have both OB’s and midwives on staff. I go to the one near St. Vincent (which is where I gave birth), and love them and my birthing and post-natal experience with St. Vincent’s.

Oregon Clinc of Obstetrics and Gynecology- so many amazing doctors.

My doctor is incredible! I feel like I got so lucky considering other people and their experiences. She’s my regular provider but is an OB as well. She was able to see me the whole pregnancy and then set a date and was my person through my whole birth! I literally had the best experience with her and the team at Portland Providence. Rachel Carreno (not sure if she is seeing new patients but if she is you’d be so well taken care of) ❤️ I would have another child if I knew she was going to be there.

thanks, so good to know you liked providence, that is closest to us, we will probably end up there!

Had a really great experience with the midwife group at Providence Women's Clinic - East Portland. I saw various midwives throughout my pregnancy and liked them all. My birth at the hospital was also a positive experience!

I had Regence Blue Cross Blue Shield and I had a great birth experience at Alma Midwifery. I birthed at their birthing center if you want to go that route!
