Wondering if anyone has any advice, our little boy is 9 weeks + 3, we’ve managed to drop the night time feed but he still wakes/stirs around 1/2am and needs to be comforted and settled back to sleep either by being rocked or some times we end up just putting him in bed with us 🫣 but want to break the back of it really and get him sleeping through undisturbed. His eyes are still closed he just makes a lot of noise and fidgets, we’ve tried leaving him but he doesn’t stop. I know this probably falls in to the conversation of “self soothing” and sleep training but I find that all pretty stressful 😂 probably sounds stupid as that is obviously the trick for getting him through 😵💫
Anyway, does anyone have any advice or tips for getting him through without needing that bit of settling or is it just his age and am I hoping for too much from him?
He’s formula fed and feeds about 100-150ml every 3-4 hours in the day. His last feed is 10pm and more often than not wakes around 6:30/7am but other than that I feel we don’t have much of a schedule/routine which I also worry is causing a problem? Or again am I expecting too much at this age? 😂
I’ve read loads about different routines and schedules but it all stresses me out a bit tbh as I can’t tend to just get him down for a nap with the click of my fingers 😅

Sleeps through the night he try’s his best to self soothe. just like yours he needs some help to drift off. I used to feed him think he was more hungry but that Ended up wi th a very sickly baby ha ha . Then I did the rocking and it would take ages. However now I put a dummy in jus so he can drift off and within 6-7 minutes he spits it out himself & begins to snore.
So it seems like you’re doing eveyrhting right! So just maybe try a dummy to help xxxxxx
