haemorrhoids after c-section?

I did (& had them whilst pregnant too)! They were horrible. Germoloid ointment really helped me.

how quickly did it work? x

Me :( I think they started in pregnancy but didn't actually cause me any issues. I was taking dihydrocodeine after my section which made me constipated and 4 days post section I had a faecal impaction. I didn't know what was happening to me I was in the worst pain I'd ever experienced, ended up being blue lighted to hospital, I thought my bowel had prolapsed but was prolapsed haemorrhoids, i was in a real state. I had an enema and then given laxatives to take home. I've also been having fybogel stool softeners and using the germaloid cream.

Oh I completely understand and I'm going through the same. I've had hemorrhoids before and it was worse during pregnancy and post partum. I tried anusol and it didn't work so I had a steroid cream prescribed for me. I also try my best to have a lot of fruit and drink plenty of water

i’ve ordered some germoloid and witch hazel pads.. in the mean time my spritz for bits that i didnt end up needing after an emergency csection is coming in handy!

Me 😭😭 currently struggling with this and trying a few things but haven’t found something that helped yet. I’m 2 months pp and got worse the couple weeks ago
