I’m sorry if this is tmi but I’m looking for advice and didn’t know where else to go. My boyfriend and I weren’t together long before I fell pregnant, the pregnancy was a shock but we’re happy and our relationship is good, sex was always good with us and we’re compatible and both enjoy a high sex drive. I wouldn’t say I’ve noticed a huge difference in sex drove since becoming pregnant and I’m also quite fortunate that I’m 22 weeks and have only put on 2lb so don’t look particularly pregnant. I have an anterior and low lying placenta and it’s caused some bleeding but not pain and lots of checks have deemed baby is completely healthy, they advised no extreme exercise or rough sex but said it was absolutely fine for us to have sex. In the last week/10’days he hasn’t wanted to have sex and I haven’t pushed it, I made a joke about it last night and he brushed over it, we had sex today (kind of) as in the lead up was all fine everything in working order until we started to have sex and everything .. stopped working. I don’t know if I’m being paranoid but I feel like he’s not attracted to me now I’m pregnant and I’ve asked him and he basically told me to wise up and stop being silly but we’ve never had this issue before. Could it be to do with the pregnancy issues with the placenta or I dunno my head is spinning

Sounds a bit like he is scared due to the bleeding and the extra checks and could have put him down that he can't enjoy your usual sexy time in case something happens. There are men that will stop having sex once their partner starts showing/is further on caz they think they will hurt the baby even if medically its completely okay.

I agree with the above, it seems like the bleeding has scared him and he’s worried about hurting the baby. I didn’t have any issues and towards the end my partner was freaking out thinking he could hurt the baby. We just talked everything through. I’d recommend having a proper conversation. Hopefully you’ll get a better response other than telling you to wise up
Thank you this has reassured me a bit! I think I’m just extra sensitive just now aswell hit it really bothered me

It’s so normal to look at it that way. I had the exact same thoughts as my partner didn’t initially come out and say he was scared. I had to ask questions for him to actually tell me. You got this 🙌🏼
