Anyone else still working?

I'm just past 34 weeks and have about 3 weeks left until i go off on leave, I do work from home so I guess I'm lucky in that sense however I have to stare at a screen for 8 hours a day and oh my gosh I am SHATTERED. literally typing this with an hour and a half left and I seriously don't know how I'll get to 5pm without a nap :( tired is an understatement.

I'm 35 +5 and finish Friday!! I work from home 4/5 days a week and most of my work day is carried out from my bed with 15 minute lay downs. Not sure how the girls that go into work manage it honestly!

I’m 33+5 and finishing in 2 weeks (next Friday) I work in the office Monday to Friday. although I was meant to finish on the 18th November (2 weeks before my due date) but going early as I’m really starting to struggle now. Feeling mentally and physically drained

Hi .. Yes, I am currently 37+ 5 days today and I am still working but my team is really supportive they provide all the help I need, even sometimes I take rest in between. I will be taking off from next week onwards.

I'm 37+2 and still working as a primary school teacher. I feel fine so I'm planning to work until 39 weeks. I honestly think I'd be so bored otherwise

Yes i am self employed so working basically until i go into labour really struggling with tiredness and heaviness now and only 35 weeks 😩 i cant help but look forward to resting at home with the baby it must be easier than this 🤣🤣🤣 xx

I’m 36 weeks today and still working being induced in 3 weeks with sweeps starting next Friday to try to get baby moving I will be finishing work next Wednesday but I know how you feel I wish I’d taken longer off just to rest for a couple weeks before he arrives but on the positive note only 7 working days left after I log off today. It’s being sat on this chair all day that Kills me my hips are ruined 😭

I’m 36+5 and still working for the next 2 weeks. I’m totally over it at this point but I work from home and have completed most of my handovers so I’m trying to focus on having more time to spend with baby once he’s here!

I’m 35 weeks today and I work 12.5hr night shifts in the hospital. Got two more weeks to go 🥺

Finished today 😍 36+5 x

I’m 36+3 and still going! I’m due 10th Nov and finishing the 3rd as I work from home but I’m so tired by Half 2 I usually end up logging off and having half an hour nap 😴

Avatar

I'm 35+3 and still currently working, I have no WFH option, office only. I am aiming to finish on the 27/10 with my due date 17/11. The exhaustion is real and I'm counting down the seconds. I know I could go early but I am really hoping to stick it out till the end of October.

Avatar

I’m 36 weeks today and have 2 weeks left! It is exhausting x

I'm 36+1 and WFH until I'm 37+5. I do massively appreciate I get to WFH and have been for the last week. I block my diary (on instruction from my manager) if I need a nap or a lie down

I'd rather be doing it this way than be off already twiddling my thumbs and probably spending money I don't have!

I’m 36+4. Still working until next Friday when I’ll be 38+1.
Mostly working from home now though, with a few trips to the office.

Avatar

I’m 37w +2, finishing next Friday (I’ll be 38w +6), so cutting it fine. I can’t really WFH but doing 1 day here and there to keep off my feet but I work in healthcare, luckily it’s a management position so I’m in the office most of the time but have to be present. I’m starting to struggle but just a small sacrifice now so I can have more time with my baby once they arrive 🤗

Avatar

exactly the same as me!! I’m off my office job in two weeks and due 29th November 😊

Avatar

I work in a primary school I’m 36 weeks and I’m still in, I planned to start mat leave 6.11.23 week before is a half term. I’m drained tho! I’m thinking of bringing it forward x

Avatar

I’m finishing next Friday when I’ll be 36+1. I had originally planned to work for a further two weeks but brought it forward cause I’m also feeling exhausted and in need of some time to properly switch off from work, rest & then focus on babies arrival.

I'm 34 weeks & a specialist nurse doing a mixture of complex patient visits and office based work. I planned on working until almost 38 weeks, but with increasing pelvic/pubic pain and decreasing sleep due to acid reflux and being uncomfortable, I'm now planning on going at 36 weeks.
I thought I could power through, but my body can't take it anymore 😴😴

I’m 37 +2 and still working. I finish this Thursday. It is exhausting and this week I am definitely ready to stop. I will be sad to leave for the year as I do love my job but my body hurts now and much like you, I wonder how I will get through the day sometimes.

Day out after c section

Hey,
I had an emergency c section 1 week ago I obviously don't want a day out right now but I have things booked for the Easter holidays so in 2 weeks. I was just wondering if I will be overdoing it if I have a day out then or will I be ok? I would still take it as easy as I could. When did everyone feel good enough to go out?

Period like cramps

Hi
I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and I keep getting period like cramps I thought these were Brixton hicks but I’ve heard they only last 30 seconds ish as this can go on for a good time frame then go away and come back, they aren’t bad enough where I can’t do basic things they just feel like I’m about to get my period I’m jus wondering how normal this is? Baby is still very actively kicking xx

C section or natural?

I am a control freak and thinking c section is the least stressful route for me and baby… less complications during labour etc. whilst acknowledging recovering can be hard.
If it could be guaranteed no tearing or complications then I would opt for natural and kind of want to experience the feeling.
Then again could plan and go either way 😂 arghh!
Anyone else in this predicament?

Midwife check

Can someone remind me when the midwife visits you at home? Is it the day after you’re discharged? And is that the same on the weekend or do they not visit then? Thanks!

Invited to a chuckie cheese party but I don't have money and don't want to tell my daughter that's why we can't go. Does anyone know how their parties work?

I'm not sure how chuckie cheese parties are. If they give you money to play or not if you're in the party. And then I'm wondering if it's an actual birthday party or if they're just going to chuckie cheese. Some guy in my building told me a couple weeks ago that his son's birthday is today and he's thinking of doing chuckie cheese. They sent an invite but I feel so insecure not being able to afford anything. Like if they don't have food for example. Idk what to do.

Owlet

Anyone else’s owlet driving them mad?? It goes off 5/6 times night saying it can’t get a reading and needs a snug fit. My baby is 8 months old so moves a lot. It is driving me insane and I keep end up taking it off! Anyone had similar issues?
