Felt baby loads tonight even on the outside but been getting either a sharp shooting pain from the top part of my pelvis to my lower abdomen or just a mild cramp.
Could it just be like round ligament pain? Baby is on a nerve or making more room or should I be concerned? Not sure if anyone has had this experience recently or before?

I have exactly the same!

I am 17+4 today as well and have been getting the same sharp shooting pains quite low down and deep in my pelvis. Only started yesterday. I haven’t felt baby at all yet, but think the pains are likely ligament pains. I have a midwife appointment tomorrow so plan to ask then.

@Chloe Gill glad I'm not alone! Do you know if it's just baby making room or?

I have the same but felt the baby loads yesterday and today been getting shooting pain on my belly button. I’ve put it down to round ligament pain and will monitor it for the next couple days, if it gets worse will contact the midwife

I am cautious it being my first baby but even my midwife told me a couple week ago when I had some pains then that it’s stretching and growing pains. It’s comes and goes with me, but you are definitely not alone! Xx this app has helped a lot with reassuring me. If obviously my pains get worse and really hurt then I will text or call my midwife just to see what she says about it then

Yeah this is also my first. Pains thankfully seem to have settled for almost 2 hours now so just putting it down to growing pains but will also monitor it and do the same thank you both of you!xx

@Georgia bless ya I'm sure you will feel baby soon! Would you mind letting me know on here what they say if you can please.
Just thinking it might help others in the same situation x

I literally just felt them move!!!Was amazing. Yes I will let you know what they say. I’ve just spoken to my friend who had a baby recently and she said she got the same pains at roughly the same stage and that they got a bit worse as the pregnancy went on, and they were ligament pains and very normal. If the pains get bad or don’t let up, I would speak to your midwife though. But reassuring that lots of us at the same stage having the same thing xx

Aww that's great! The first time is always so special I cried the first time I was so happy!
Thank you that's a relief maybe not the part where it gets worse but definitely reassuring to know it's normal xx

I spoke to the midwife about the shooting/stabbing pains, and she said it was normal as the uterus is expanding and stretching and generally nothing to worry about. She did say that if it gets a lot worse or I am in a lot of pain to go to the maternity triage. For now mine is manageable and I think down to the growing and stretching!

That's good news thank you! 😊
