Is anyone else tired of their dog?

Not to sound mean, I understand its hard with a dog, specially a big one, but it's also not her fault and she doesn't really know better. Your partner has to get on top of training ASAP! And so do you, as it works better when everyone in the house is strict about it, but it can defo be normal to feel fed up you have a lot going on and babies and crazy dogs are hard to handle but just try to remember she didn't choose this and you guys are her family. You just really need to have those serious convos on getting that training up to scratch and keeping up with the flea treatment. I recommend pets at home when you sign up they give you the flea and worming treatment everymonth for flea and every 3 for worms included in your monthly payment, and they send a reminder text so you don't forget to keep up with it. Fix that dog, first of all, that should help a little. Second, if it’s his dog, I would flat refuse to do anything for the dog anymore. You’ve got a baby, how old?? A bit of advice for fleas, the oral flea meds work the best. Gotta treat all the animals and yeah idk about carpets . Dog with a period that’s just gross fix her

And yeah if nothing changes you could make an ultimatum. Either you fix the dog problems or else… the dog goes bye bye

Honestly from a dog lover speaking here. Take your baby back to your mom’s house until the fleas problem is fixed. You don’t want your baby getting bit.

I’m a strong believer of boundaries with dogs so it sounds like the dog has none and depending on the age of the dog it’s easier said than done to train it.
Ask your boyfriend to get the dog fixed to take care of the period and depending on what state you are in they have free shots and vaccinations days for dogs. Also some offer free days to get your dog fixed.
Don’t offer to look after the dog anymore because he needs to take responsibility for the dog. Also chip the dog or put a AirTag on it. Don’t run after it cause they think it’s a game. You guys can practice recall commands. When mine doesn’t come when I ask we practice going to the front door from the street over and o er again to the point my dog knows when I call you come.
You’re going to have to start practicing commands with the dog also It will make your life 10x better

i have this exact problem, except it's our dog that we rescued, she's lovely and doesn't jump up so often but the flea problem is so bad, my cat has them, they're all over the bed even though we don't let them on the bed, im only 15 weeks pregnant and i've been thinking about getting rid of the dog for abit now, i feel guilty thinking about it but she's always get her head in the bin eating rubbish and dragging it all over the bedroom, she's 8 now and she's started weeing in her bed and my boyfriend has nothing to do with her, i have to let her out to wee, i do it every hour now due to her accidents in the house instead of every other hour, she doesn't go on walks unless i take her and with being ill while i'm pregnant she's getting less walks, she bites her legs and her tail and we've had to take her to the vets, we don't have the money to have to keep taking her to the vets and i feel awful about it because i really love her, she's beautiful and gentle but she's expensive af
