I have an appt today (36wks 3d) I asked my doc last appt about induction and he said he wouldn’t before 39wks 🫠 lemme tell you I was broken when he said that. My last pregnancy I was dilated at a 2 at 36wks. This doc said he won’t check me till 38wks 🙃

How? My doctor won’t do my C-section until 39 weeks, and I have epilepsy and former surgeries that are making this SO painful. He won’t do it early bc of insurance reasons. I’m just praying she comes sooner. I’m at 34 weeks and struggling to eat and breathe.
I have low anemia I had leukemia in the past and I just found out I have other medical issues so I’m doing my own inducements
I’m using my own inducement I’ve done it before so I’m not scared I know my bay will be healthy cuz doctor said my baby is healthy

What do you mean your own? At home???

how will you induce your labor? I’m so curious..
yes at home spoke to my midwife already
my wife is coming to help me with the castor oil

gotcha!! I hope everything works out
thank you

Hope everything works out for youuu
I haven’t felt nothin yet but tightness baby contractions but we will see when I take the next dose at 10 🤞🏽

I’m so scared of induction. I’m scheduled at 37 weeks to be induced . I hear it’s more painful

How much do you take?
yes it is more painful that’s why people do it at home
2 tablespoon at lunch and 2 at bed time

Just to clear some things, actual medical induction involves a hormone called oxitocin and the name of the drug you get is pitocin.
Trying to Inducing labor IS NOT the same as actual labor induction.
There are some methods like Castrol oil (which is an old method and hasn’t been recommended by the research as it mostly results in very intense diarrhea), and then there are some other methods that can be helpful to start labor once you’re past your due date, like the circuit exercise, bouncing on the ball, eating dates to soften your cervix or having unprotected sex which is recommended by OBGYNs due to semen having prostaglandins that prepare the cervix for labor. Just to make it clear.
