i’m 34 weeks and for the last couple of hours had such a strong constant tightening and sharp pain but at the top of my stomach and all under my ribs. I have tried absolutely everything from taking paracetamol to moving about to get her down lower to sitting in a warm bath but nothing is working and becoming harder to breathe through. Is anyone experiencing or has experienced this and knows what it is or what to do? In need of some help as triage has said to keep an eye on it for a couple of hours until it goes down as they think it’s braxton hicks but they wont disappear.

sounds like braxton hicks, personally i wouldn’t know because i never had any & when i started having contractions i thought they were braxton hicks. but try timing them & seeing how far apart they are. if it’s still concerning you call triage back & let them know it’s still happening & your in a lot of pain & ask to go in to be checked. hope you feel better soon x

I had cramps all night at 32weeks then it turned into a extremely painful stomach ache, no contractions, just an agonising pain that wouldn’t go away, I went to triage and turns out I was in labour, defo go triage and get put on the monitor and get checked!

Triage all the way! Did you manage to go?

I had this it was braxton hicks you should go hospital and see if triage will check you out to make sure you aren’t in labour they are very confusing as they both feel similar . If not see how far apart your tightnings are by using the timer app on your phones if they stay 5 minutes apart for 30 minutes you’re in labour x
