Low lying placenta

I havnt personally, but my friend is pregnant at the same time and she had this and has been having extra scans and it's gradually just moved up each time and is now in the right place by 34 weeks x

I had a low lying placenta with my first, by the time I got rescanned at 32 my placenta had moved on its own. I know it's hard not to worry but it should move on its own 😊

Thanks hoping that is what happens. Was there anything you stopped doing or reduced between then and the next scan?

No I literally didn't do anything in between, other than just trying not to think or worry about it.

I’ve also been told this, got my 20 week scan next week and hoping it’s moved but we’ll have to see but freaking out about a c-sec after having two normal deliveries

I have this too (20+3) and will need the extra scans starting at 32 weeks. I’ve been advised not to be intimate (including non-penetration, as the contractions from orgasm are part of the problem) or do any exercise… so I’m just walking whenever the weather isn’t too awful!

In my notes from my 12 week scan it says I have a low anterior placenta, so I’m hoping that it will have moved a bit by my 20 week scan in a few weeks. I’m currently working on convincing myself that since it is a known factor, in worst case I’ll have a c-section. That is ideally not what I want, but what I want most of all is a healthy baby, and both my brother and I were c-section babies, and we have turned out as decent healthy people.
