I’m due in 2 weeks and I have acrylic nails! They’re medium length but I’m not sure if I should cut them or if I should get a fill? Mamas what’s your experience? Does the nails make it harder to care for a nb or if you’re used to them already wpuld it be fine? I don’t get stilettos so they’re not sharp or pointy I just have a charm I’d have to take off.

10000% yes! Remove/cute them short. It’s not only safe for baby but also more hygienic as there is less bacteria gathering behind short nails. As a mom to a 10minut old I can tell you that you will have a ton of hands on work now, and newborns are sooo tiny. Plus the acrylic nails might get caught on things such as diapers and clothes when you will be changing the diaper 12 times a day 😅

Girl if you want them nails keep ‘em lol as long as they aren’t sharp you’ll be good

I had acrylic nails with my first. It would have been fine but we had issues getting him to latch. To help supplement his food we would give him colostrum in a syringe while putting a fingertip on the roof of his mouth to start his sucking reflex. I couldn't do it with the nails, so my husband had to until I got them removed.
