Sleeping behaviour

My 8 week old sleeps in complete silence for the first 3/4 hours of the night and then gradually gets more active in movement and sound. By 4/5am I can no longer sleep due to his thrashing around and grunting. Just wondering if this is normal? He also sleeps in pretty much silence during the day!

Ours is the same, we put her down about 10pm and she sleeps through till about 3am when she wakes up for a feed and she’d then go back down again till about 7 but second half of the night she’s been really unsettled and wriggling around/noisy to the point I can’t sleep

Oh and also 8 weeks old

Yes same with my 9 week old she’s awful after her 3/4am feed so I’m constantly feeling like I’ve been awake since then with just patches of broken dozing in between. She doesn’t always thrash but she’s usually noisy. I think it’s possibly a build up of gas throughout the day?

My baby no longer has that 3am feed and sleeps through until 7am but still grunts from 4am! We ran out of dentinox last weekend and couldn’t get hold of any, not sure if it’s coincidental but he didn’t grunt when not having it. Now we’ve managed to get hold of some he’s grunting again!

We have exactly the same issue and honestly it’s exhausting as they are so loud!! Our LO is 10 weeks and starts grunting exactly 30 mins after we’ve put him back to bed every night, it’s as if it’s his stomach starting to digest the milk but he doesn’t do it earlier on, it’s so bizarre!

this is us, after her middle of the night feed our little girl can go an hour and then restless for the rest of it, I’ve put it down to wind, I’m constantly getting her up to try burp her as she’s throwing her legs abs body side to side

We have the same issue!

My almost 8 week old does this too!

Same here with my 11 week old! I'm putting it down to trapped gas too even though we burp her and sot upright etc after that 2ish am feed. She seems to be sleeping through all the noise/moving about but I'm not 😅 her dad seems to be oblivious to it mind you.... no idea how!

same here.. I might try sleeping on his side of the bed as apparently baby noise isn’t heard over there 😂

Totally the same with my 8 week girl! The GP said that they grow out of it eventually and joked that there isn’t grunting teenage sleepers out there when I persisted with my worries at our 6 week check 😭🤣

Leaky nappy help

What nappies are you using to stop leaks?? We use pampers ultra dry size 5, and for the past few nights he has lashed through and we’ve had to completely change him during the night. Last night he leashed through twice!! He sleeps on his front and stays leaks through at the top of his leg where the tabs connect. Didn’t know whether to size up, he has a bit of a belly on him but he’s smack in middle of weight guidance so shouldn’t need too

Not drinking

I’m going crazy. Baby born at 2.26kg. Slow to put on weight. This last week hasn’t put on any. Been trying to feed him at night and he’s not interested at all. Fast asleep. During day he will have 5 minute gulps and that’s it. He don’t cry for milk. I’ve got to keep offering to him. I try to offer it every hour but I don’t know what I’m doing. HV said nutrition comes after 5 minutes so I should pump first and then give him. I find it so hard. I tried to pump one boob nothing came. The other abit came. Tried giving him express he’s not interested in that too. Sometimes he will go for a longer a feed but not long at all. He’s 4 months and is currently 5.46kg. I have no family or friend support here and wish I had a cook, cleaner and nanny to help with everything so I can concentrate on the little one. I don’t know what’s wrong with him but I’m loosing it. It doesn’t help that my also stressed generally about my relationship and life circumstances. Any advice that will work. Any comfort you can give. I’m fed up. Is this regression - not feeding. He’s fast fast asleep. I’ve been trying to push the nipple in but that mouth is closed shut. I took some clothes off. Changed his nappy but he’s still asleep. Please help

Am I wrong?

I’ve been wanting to add more garden beds to my garden. Husband says “hey do you want to go to Home Depot to get that wood for the garden beds.” Cool I’m excited I’ve been wanting to get this done for awhile.

We get there and we’re picking out wood and I make 2 comments about how I don’t like how 2 pieces of wood look that he picked out. And he says if you’re going to be this picky then u can do this yourself.

I literally made 2 comments and mind you I’m the one paying for the wood.

I felt dismissed and like my opinion didn’t matter and if I wanted to have an opinion then I need to do it myself. Like what?

It was rude and not okay. Am I wrong? Am I overreacting?

He thinks it was fine that he said that.

5.30am wakeups 😫😴

My 15 week old has started waking up about 5.30am and is really hard to settle back down - it’s like he thinks it’s time to wake up for the day. He used to go to bed at 9pm and was up at 8am but now he goes to bed between 7.30-8pm as he’s knackered by then but waking up at 5.30am😴. Any advice to get him to sleep a little longer in the morning?! Even an extra hour would be lovely 🤣
