Sleep on back!!

I know the advice is to not sleep on your back but it's so annoying because at the min the only way I feel comfortable is laying on my back 😭 anyone else feel this way. When should I avoid laying on my back I'm 20 weeks current.

20 weeks here and I find it difficult too, I’ve bought a pregnancy pillow and so far it’s helped quite a bit although it does take up quite a bit of room in bed haha! Try and pop a pillow in between your knees whilst lying on your side - weirdly helps!

I already sleep with a pillow between my legs and spooning another (wouldn't have room for a pregnancy pillow or father of the baby would be sleeping on the floor 😂) but yet I still keep waking up on my back 😭

Haha! Try not to worry too much as NHS advise is if you do wake up on your back just turn back to your side and try and go to sleep like that. Almost halfway there - we’ve got this!

They say not to sleep on your back later on in the pregnancy. If u wake up on your back it’s fine just not to fall asleep that way. I think we are ok at this stage at the moment. It’s very hard not to but you get use to it, I’m on my second pregnancy and haven’t slept on my back since the first 😂

It’s from 28 weeks you need to worry about that but if you do wake on your back, just roll back over. It’s fine. Just don’t go to sleep on your back x

I think you can sleep on your back if you prop yourself up a bit so you're not flat

I am the same I have sore hips and sleeping on the side is keeping me up, I only stand a chance of sleeping on my back but worried too :(

i also get sore hips and laying on them hurts so much so I've been almost sleeping on my front but with a pillow to slightly prop me up so Im more diagonal than flat if that makes sense ? ☺️

@Ellie this is my partner 🤣 he called it the great wall of china and hates it as it's huge and practically leaves him with no room

I am definitely in the same boat as you! But i would just avoid sleeping on your back and not risk it. I just keep turning side to side can be annoying and disruptive to my sleep

yes it makes sense I will try this tonight 😂 wish me luck! Thanks x

Leaky nappy help

What nappies are you using to stop leaks?? We use pampers ultra dry size 5, and for the past few nights he has lashed through and we’ve had to completely change him during the night. Last night he leashed through twice!! He sleeps on his front and stays leaks through at the top of his leg where the tabs connect. Didn’t know whether to size up, he has a bit of a belly on him but he’s smack in middle of weight guidance so shouldn’t need too

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

6 month old autistism

My 6 month old makes no eye contact with me and doesn’t respond when I call him. Can this just be a phase or personality trait as apposed to autism

4 month bed time

What time do you put your babies to bed?
What time do you start your 'routine?'
My LO currently goes to bed around 10.30pm, and I know i need to start bringing it forward. Everytime ive tried, it takes longer for my LO to settle.
We are exclusively breastfeeding. Any advice Mamas?

5.30am wakeups 😫😴

My 15 week old has started waking up about 5.30am and is really hard to settle back down - it’s like he thinks it’s time to wake up for the day. He used to go to bed at 9pm and was up at 8am but now he goes to bed between 7.30-8pm as he’s knackered by then but waking up at 5.30am😴. Any advice to get him to sleep a little longer in the morning?! Even an extra hour would be lovely 🤣
