Hi mamas,
Does anyone else have a baby who doesn’t want to flip heads down?
I’m really sad, I was hoping for a natural delivery.
Right now we have a c-section planned for 39 Weeks if they don’t turn.
I’ve tried everything in the book to turn baby, just hoping now they can figure it out on their own, soon!
I just feel so jipped from the laboring experience, especially as a first time mom! Am I crazy? My husband thinks this is a blessing in disguise!

ask your doctor if they do an external cephalic version (ECV) .. a procedure to try to manually turn your baby.

I’m guessing you’ve tried this already, but if not, spinning babies exercises has been helpful for some! An ECV could be another option to consider - I’ve read they have about a 50% success rate. It could be something to ask your provider about

We were offered an ECV but after some research we decided against it.
Ive tried doing somersaults and handstands in the pool, moxibustion from an acupuncturist, dolphin pose, hip circles!
Just bought the spinning babies ebook, thanks!

Mine is also breech at 36 weeks but tbh I’m actually relieved in some ways to have a scheduled C-section and won’t be looking into ECV or other methods to turn her. I just don’t have the mental bandwidth to worry about more before she’s here and I had a lot of anxiety about tearing during birth due to past pelvic floor trauma.

I'd definitely do everything you can to try turning them! There's a lot of resources, spinning babies as mentioned above is a great one. You aren't crazy, I'd be heartbroken if I ended up not being able to do things naturally. Like you said, especially as a first time mom. Those feelings are so valid! My mom had three c-sections and her recovery sucked... Not to scare you or anything (more so just to motivate you to do what you can), but it really isn't a great option if it can be avoided.
I so hope things work out for you and that you get the birth experience you dreamed of this whole time. ❤️ But even so no matter what happens, just know feeling sad about things not going how you hoped is ok, and those emotions are so very real. ❤️
