Childcare

Hiya I was wondering if as a single mum id get any help before she is two so that I can work a bit? Once my maternity ends I’ll have less money coming in to support us and her dad is useless to help! I’m so new to universal credit as I left little ladies dad in august and she’s coming up 4 months next week

You can add your childcare payments onto universal credit and they’ll pay up to 85% of your bill, I think that depends on how much income your household gets, however they only reimburse you so you have to pay first and then apply and put the amount you’ve paid, and then they’ll send the money with your next universal credit payment x

Is that still for under 2? Xx

That’s for under 2s but you can’t claim tax free childcare as well, look at a calculator with your expected income and the cost of childcare and it’ll let you know how much you will get xx

It’s confusing me so much 😂 I want to try work 3 days so I can give her a better life as her dad thinks £300 a month is too much and wants me to take her to and from with all her clothes and food as he’s funding her life 🙄 xx

Have you had a look at what he should be paying you a month? If he’s being difficult about payments it might be worth using the child maintenance service to arrange the payments. Some dads don’t realise their child maintenance pays for the roof over there head, keeping them warm, taking them to and from nursery, play dates and doctors appointments. It’s not just food and clothes.

Mama needs new friends ✨

Hey mamas 🤍 I'm going to be honest — I'm at a season in my life where I'm craving real, genuine friendship. The kind where we actually check on each other. Where conversations go both ways. Where we can laugh, vent, cry, and just *be* without it feeling one-sided.

I'm a stay at home mom of 6 (yes, 6! 👏🏼) and my days are full but my cup feels a little empty in the friendship department. I'm looking for women who get it — the chaos, the beauty, the exhaustion, all of it.

If you're a mom who values deep, reciprocal friendship and you're also out here looking for your people — drop a 👋 below. Let's actually get to know each other. 🤍

Help

Really embarrassing!
I'm a first time mummy at 35, she's 16 month and everytime I sneeze or cough I lose control of my bladder and pee a little 😔, I've had countless utis since having her aswell! Will it get better? Or do I need to invest in panty liners? 😆

Leaving your baby

Has anyone else not left their baby to be looked after by someone else (not dad) yet? I still don't feel ready but am being told I should be by now

Random but when you use a vibrator do you need to hold your lips open for it to touch the bean ?

It gets annoying because even if I open my legs I still need to hold the lips open to touch the bean and I have to do it the entire time my lips are literally sealed closed 🤣
