My newborn is chocking while breastfeeding because of the mik overflow. Anyone having same issue ? If yes, can you share how you are avoiding this problem?

This used to happen to me when I breast fed due to fast let down. I used to feed in a laid back position or use the Hakka before a feed if very engorged just so they weren’t so full as it would come out so quick! I didn’t pump before a feed though as that can increase milk supply, but the Hakka just for the let down and then breastfeed when it wasn’t coming out as fast x

I had this problem too! My GP recommended to feed him whilst I’m slightly reclined back and keep him upright to help and work against gravity.

Your breast will adjust but you can hand express before so they’re not so full. The laid back and laying down position will aid. X

I ended up pumping, since I had a strong let down too.

I experienced this with my son too. Your let down will chill out after a while but feed slightly reclined and if you are quite engorged hand express some off beforehand. X

Try expressing a bit off before you feed chick

Pumping until your letdown is over and then the milk flow will be slower for your baby xx

Yeah my flow was like this too. I would try laid back or when your let down starts you can take baby off and use either hakkaa or burp cloth to catch the fast flow and then when you see it slow latch baby back on. My daughter used to get upset but it was kinda the only way for me for a little while in the beginning.
