You can bring your car seat on the plane but only if you previously bought a seat for your little. For example if you and your little (assuming they are a lap child-under 2) you would have to buy 2 seats. You can also baby wear when coming inside the plane but you can’t baby wear when seated. That’s what they told be the last time we flew 🥲

I jus hold my baby I leave car seat and stroller at aircraft door they will bring it when you land

Bring birth certificate sometimes they ask
what airline was it
what airline was this

You can choose to purchase a second seat and then put them in their own seat with a carseat or you can wear them onto the plane and then forward face them on your lap for takeoff and landing. And unstrap them from the carrier for that period. That's for both of your safety. You can check the carseat and stroller at the gate or at the bag checkin. I typically check the carseat at the bag check and check the stroller at the gate. I have a bag for the carseat to help protect it too. Most airlines only take the carseat and stroller at your risk so if I can rent one at the location I'm going to I'll do that instead.

You can check your car seat at the gate for free but if you bring it on board you’ll have to purchase an additional seat. We carried our baby until we got on the plan then as soon as we landed they had it waiting at the gate for us.

If the baby is over 2 years then yes car seat so baby is more comfortable. Also, you may need to look into a light weight care seat like the Cosco ones. You can use a baby carrier but in the past flight attendants would ask for me to take the baby off for landing safety.

I’ve flown several times with my baby because her father and I are long distance (Alaska airlines) and if there is an extra seat on the plane, they always offer it to us and allow me to bring the car seat! Of 12 flights I only didn’t get to bring it on 1!
I also ALWAYS sweet talk the Alaska attendants before TSA and tell them I’m traveling alone w my baby and I usually check my luggage at the gate but it’s so difficult to tend to the baby and do the luggage and they have also always made an exception for me and checked my bag for free!
TSA will also pretty much do everything for you while you hold your baby (they will break down your stroller, process your milk, ect)
Please dm me if you have any other specific questions about traveling with an infant!

You don't have to bring it on the plane. For bigger airlines it is usually free to check your car seat and stroller as baggage. Then you can just hold the baby with you in your seat. If you do want to have the car seat on the plane, you'll have to purchase a second seat in which to place them.

We had the option to do either. The baby carrier was easier to manage for us. I also think you have to pay for a seat if you bring a car seat. We checked our car seat and stroller for free but I think that depends on the airline
