18 month sleep regression 😭? Is it a thing!

My little girl is 17 and a half months and over a week ago, we did 6 nights in a row completely sleeping through! Sunday night she had a bad night due to a high fever, which turned out to be an ear infection along with a cough and a cold! However, since Sunday, we must have had max 2 hours sleep a night! I blamed it on her being ill at the beginning of the week, but last night, she did 8-10.30 then was awake until 3am, up again at 5 and back down until 8! She just wants to be awake and play, even though I can see she's so tired! She went off her food earlier in the week too and still isn't fussed, bit drinking milk and water fine! I'm at my wits end, I don't think I can do any more nights not sleeping! 😭

Heya! You are not alone, apparently after the 4months nightmare, this is the next worst sleep regression our little ones face. My son(18m) is also awake for 2, sometimes 4 hours in the middle of the night. It’s terrible but shouldn’t last too long apparently 🤷🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️hitting almost 4 weeks over here that this is going on, hoping it will stop soon. Running on zero fuel at the moment! Stay strong, we got this 💪🏽🙏🏼

@Ananda omg you're 4 weeks in 😭! This explains a lot, thank you so much! It's only been 5 days for us! We've been awake between about 5 and 6 hours, so hopefully it will reduce too!
I hope it comes to an end for you super soon ❤️❤️

18 month sleep regression is HARD 😂 I don’t want to ruin your day but my little one went a solid month of disrupted nights and 5am starts when he went through it. It was awful 😂 he’s back to sleeping through the night 9 times out of 10 now though so there is light at the end of the tunnel! 🤞

Same here!!! My son also has a double ear infection and last week had a sinus infection... we've been doing 1030, midnight to 3am and then sometimes a quick wake at 5 and sleep till 7 or 8... I started sleeping in the bed with him. He's in a floor bed now so I can do this. It helps a lot. I did this with my oldest too and as soon as the regression was over, he was back to normal :) and I better sleeper!!!

Leaky nappy help

What nappies are you using to stop leaks?? We use pampers ultra dry size 5, and for the past few nights he has lashed through and we’ve had to completely change him during the night. Last night he leashed through twice!! He sleeps on his front and stays leaks through at the top of his leg where the tabs connect. Didn’t know whether to size up, he has a bit of a belly on him but he’s smack in middle of weight guidance so shouldn’t need too

New born

Finally had my baby girl via C-section on the 18th, everything has been so far. But I’ve noticed she’s very fussy and cries a lot. I’ve been trying to exclusively breastfeed. The lactation consultant at the hospital said I did look like I’m making enough milk for her. She was latching on good at the hospital and now here at home, she doesn’t seem to want to latch at all. She’s been crying a lot and very fussy. I’m just wondering is she’s colic or like maybe she just doesn’t want the breast anymore?

My 6 month old makes no eye contact with me and doesn’t respond when I call him. Can this just be a phase or personality trait as apposed to autism

5.30am wakeups 😫😴

My 15 week old has started waking up about 5.30am and is really hard to settle back down - it’s like he thinks it’s time to wake up for the day. He used to go to bed at 9pm and was up at 8am but now he goes to bed between 7.30-8pm as he’s knackered by then but waking up at 5.30am😴. Any advice to get him to sleep a little longer in the morning?! Even an extra hour would be lovely 🤣
