My doctor has now suggested I get a zofran pump
Because of my extreme nausea and vomiting. Has anyone had experience with this? I just need advice. I didn’t have to get one last pregnancy.

I haven’t, but very curious. Whats a Zofran pump

it’s a pump, that administers nausea medication around the clock since I’m now unable to keep anything down. I’m not exactly sure how it works or anything

Omg that sounds like heaven 🙏🏼 I hope it helps!

I didn’t get to use this because it’s not a practice in my state but my dr who is from Florida said that if we were there she would have done that for me. But instead I had to go to the infusion center 3 times a week for zofrain and hydration because of how sick I was finally 21 weeks today and I thank god have been feeling so much better.

They just gave me a bottle and told me to take one whenever I need it 🤔

I wouldn’t personally as someone with hyperemisis cyclic vomiting as well. Ask for Phenegran suppositories it’s has the same risk as zofran but it might just work better for you. Zofran didn’t do anything for me either. Start supplementing magnesium. If that doesn’t do anything for you consider the pump but zofran has a lot of risk involved. If you look at the ER paper sheet of what to do it tells them not to give pregnant women zofran. I took a picture of it last time I was there.

I’ll look more into it. But the phenergan suppository isn’t helping anymore and either is the pill version. I’ve been in the hospital over 3 times for this.

Do your research on zofran. There’s a lot of risks pregnant. I was super nauseous and throwing up like crazy for over 12 weeks and just pushed through cause I didn’t want to take the risk of zofran

oh ok yeah maybe the pump might be a good option. I turned to more a holistic approach but I’m not comfortable sharing that here if you interested you can DM me.
Have you tried the GI Cocktail with lidocaine? It’s numbs your esophagus. That’s what I usually ask for if I end up in the ER.

no I haven’t.
I messaged you!
