Weaning off breastmilk

I’m trying to wean my 13 month old off breastmilk because he’s waking every hour in it for the night and I just need my sleep again and to break the association! Nights are Improving but in the day he’s been crying non stop and so grumpy. I keep losing my temper it’s making me so miserable as I can barely leave the house else he’s screaming his head off in public. I don’t know what to do 😢 has anyone else had similar?

It's been 2 weeks now since I decided to night wean and we've had good nights and bad nights. He's kicked off a lot and banged his head several times which has been really upsetting but need to stick with it to get past it. The first couple days he was attached to my boob constantly during the day and I've been trying to get it down to just 3 times a day (so far on 4/5!) Last night I couldn't settle him when he woke at all he just pulled at my top and was constantly hitting me so his dad had to go in and take over. It's funny, before when I was night feeding if his dad went in he lost his mind as he only wanted boob but now he goes mental if it's me and only really seems to settle for dad...it's a rollercoaster though, hopefully we get through it soon

When do things get easier?

As we entered the 9-12 month stage, my son started crawling and pulling himself up. He also became more clingy and does not play alone, still doesnt sleep through the night, and this week has been sick (so EVERYTHING amplified). I am tired and overwhelmed. Please lie and tell me things get better. 🥺

Colostrum storing?

Has anyone successfully extracted colostrum before the baby’s born? Apparently it gets produced from 16w pregnant and you can start storing it in the freezer but I’m 34w looking at my nipples and the syringes on amazon wondering how it works?? Like what did you use and did it hurt? 🥲

Self settling

Any tips or advice of how to teach 6.5month old to self settle? I’m up multiple times in the night to cuddle her back to sleep and put the dummy in. I understand she will wake up and want a cuddle etc but any tips on self settling would be appreciated 🥰

Baby losing weight

Hi all, it's been a long time since I had a baby (my son is 15!). My daughter is 10 days old and was 9lb born, she has since lost weight at every appointment and is at a 12% loss. I am breast feeding every two hours for over an hour and topping her up every feed. I pump and can get 60ml in 10 minutes so I know my supply is okay. Anyone had this before? Can give me some tips? I currently feel like I'm letting my baby down.

Bedtime routine

I have a 12 week old and we struggle to get him to sleep in his next to me crib or Moses basket, so he sleeps in bed with us which means we’re struggling to have a bedtime routine as he won’t sleep till i go to bed with him.
Any suggestions please as he doesn’t sleep till around 11/12
