I am 4 months post partum and my husband and I are fighting constantly. I always try to do it in another room but he always comes in when I'm stuck feeding my LO. Today was the worst... we fought because I felt he left LO with me all day today and just goes into another room to sit on his phone. I had asked for something to eat as I was stuck (LO is doing contact naps). He went into another room and "forgot". He got himself chips and sat infront of the TV on his phone. I am infuriated! My LO was crying in hysterics and I had to try calm him. Everytime I calmed him, my partner came in to say some sly comment and set him off again. I finally got LO to sleep and went to get dinner. He hadn't even made it... 4 hours later. I'm just so tired and I feel so bad my LO had to see us fight. What does everyone do to avoid fighting with their partner infront of their child? My partner saw him in crying fit but just doesn't get it. He grew up in a happy home and I grew up with fighting parents. Do I leave him? Can thus get better?

It's so hard isn't it..
So sorry to read your post.
We also argue so so much and my partner seems to do a lot more than yours so I can't imagine..
However we do communicate well to repair the relationship, we talk calmly about what expectations weren't met and what solutions we can find and try to be consistent with it.
Talking talking talking basically helps...
But I feel like we have the same argument over and over and that he'll never evolve sometimes..
A few things that worked for us:
1/ saying out loud what goes well, the positives during the day.
(To avoid only focusing on negative)
2/having a shared tasks list (not about baby but about life responsibilities such as mow the grass, book car for services ect.
3/remembering how we fell in love and why we are the best match we've ever met!
4/ dedicating days off for quality time, even with baby.
Good luck ! It's so bloody hard !
