Has anyone else had palpations and seen a doctor?.who did you speak to? They've started today and last only a few beats but happen every 30 seconds or so, though I do only notice them when sat down.
I'm 16 weeks and for context had food poisoning Friday/Saturday but luckily it was pretty mild. I did have a heart condition as a child but this was fixed in surgery. I think this makes me more aware than others on what my heart is doing. I have a midwife appointment on Tuesday, should I just wait until then to discuss it?
I already called early pregnancy unit this week about ligament pain as it lasted over 48 hours non stop and was pretty bad and took me 2 days to get though on the phone so seems pointless calling them again

Hiya, I had palpitations last Wednesday and Thursday at 15 weeks, but I’ve never had any heart condition that I know of.
I was quite worried about it but did a quick google search and apparently it’s really normal at this stage as we have a lot more blood circulating so heart has to work a bit harder to do it? Mine only lasted 2 days and had nothing since so I feel much better, but if you’re still worried definitely contact your midwife! X

Hi, I’ve had palpitations on and off for quite a few weeks now. Been feeling out of breath on and off as well. But like Lauren said above I’ve read this is normal.
Also had a ‘high heart rate’ alert on my Apple Watch about a week ago, which said my heart rate was consistently over 120 for 10 mins whilst I was just standing still (was in a queue)
I started to wonder if I should worry as I also have a heart murmur but was told by a consultant a few years ago it’s a harmless type of murmur and mentioned I would hear it more during pregnancies.
Because of this I hadn’t reached out to anyone but have it on my list of things to bring up with the midwife. Also seeing her Tuesday.
It’s strange yours are so frequent 🤔 I wonder if it is to do with your previous condition or maybe the recent sickness as you said?
Defo mention it to the midwife, at least it will go in your notes then that you’ve been feeling this way
Xx

It’s pretty normal, don’t get to anxious about it! But definitely just keep telling your midwife if you’re concerned.
With my first I had to have several bloods and scans, even a CT scan due to my heart rate going to 150 whilst resting! For absolutely ages as well. And absolutely nothing was wrong, I was completely healthy and baby was absolutely fine. I was anaemic though.
As long as your blood pressure is okay, and you don’t feel really unwell it’s probably fine! But if for any reason you get overly worried, speak to your midwife / GP Xx

Thank you all! Im glad it's not just me, I honestly thought Id be such a chilled pregnant person but I've found myself panicking at so much!! 😂 I'll speak to them Tuesday and hopefully it's nothing

I’ve been having them on and off for a good couple of weeks I’m 15 + 5, I do have anxiety but I notice it happens when I’m not anxious too don’t think it’s something to worry about but I’d mention it anyway just to have piece of mind :) x
