I'm nine months postpartum and lately have been feeling extra down. i was on meds for a few months a while back but ended up having to stop taking them as they made me drowsy.. i hate myself. i have no will to do anything. im feeling more disconnected than i felt when she was a newborn, i don't think i deserve my daughter. i want to die. there's only a small part of me that holds on to hope that things will get better but that hope is getting smaller and smaller. what is this? is this postpartum depression? or is this just the regular depression i had before my baby showing up again? i don't want to be locked up in the hospital again but i don't know what else to do to feel better

It could be both. I'd try different medications there's many different kinds. I'm on lexapro and it helps pretty quickly and if it's hard to get out of the house you should see if you can do telemedicine with a postpartum psychiatrist

Also therapy has helped me so much and I noticed I difference when I wasn't able to go again due to my insurance

I just started on Pristiq. But also, having a community is important. I’m here if you want to talk

I am in the exact same boat completely. The trying to figure out if it’s regular depression from before or postpartum and not wanting to do anything at all. I also went inpatient and it was an awful experience where I went and have been trying to do more a outpatient program and have found some ppd groups locally or mommy and me groups but it’s now trying to force myself to go. My family says they understand but I always feel like a burden being like this now. But you’re not alone my messages are always open🫶🏼
