Pessary induction

Hi,

So I am getting induced (I am 37 weeks and this is my first pregnancy) due to reduced movements of the baby, the midwife made me feel very guilty for the decision I made witch what method I have chosen for my induction. Do any mamas have good and bad stories and advice on the pessary induction?

I literally got every method during my induction and the pessary induction went well for me. Technically all of them didn’t give me any complications. The problem for me was that I wasn’t even ready for labor so the process took even longer. Just make sure you look into every induction method so you’ll know about it and know if you’d want it or not if this method doesn’t work

I recently gave birth. went in for induction at 40 weeks coz of slow baby growth.4 pessaries in 4 days and was an absolute nightmare as I cramped all day and night.only to end up with a C-section coz the induction failed.i would not recommend but it might work for you as we are different.fyi, baby was born healthy at 8 lbs

I had the pessary (was also made to feel guilty for having an induction) it was the best birth I could have wished for! I loved it! Wouldn’t have changed a thing! I had the pessary in at 2pm on the 16th and baby was born at 7:45am on the 17th 😅 feel free to message me if you have questions or anything! I’ve posted my birth story if you want to have a nosy!

I got induced at 40 weeks and chose the pessary, within 6 hours of it in it had to be removed and I was 5cm and my waters had gone was all very quick and painful but it worked

I went on Wednesday afternoon and had my baby girl Friday morning. Much better experience than natural labour for me. Good luck!!

I was told I needed an induction due to reduced movements even though all my scans & checks were cleared. One wk before my due date we went in, I had 3 pessarys & began dilating the day after checking in. Unfortunately then it took a further 5 days for my waters to break, then I was in active labor for 22hrs before they decided I needed an emergency C-section. At that point I was too physically exhausted to push that I agreed. I will always regret not looking into it more as my friend who is a doula said there was no need for me to be induced

I started with that then went to breaking my waters. Then potocin. it was a long process. I’d also not recommend induction without a lot of research and questions. And if you have reduced movements I’d ask for a scan.

Day out after c section

Hey,
I had an emergency c section 1 week ago I obviously don't want a day out right now but I have things booked for the Easter holidays so in 2 weeks. I was just wondering if I will be overdoing it if I have a day out then or will I be ok? I would still take it as easy as I could. When did everyone feel good enough to go out?

Period like cramps

Hi
I’m currently 33 weeks pregnant and I keep getting period like cramps I thought these were Brixton hicks but I’ve heard they only last 30 seconds ish as this can go on for a good time frame then go away and come back, they aren’t bad enough where I can’t do basic things they just feel like I’m about to get my period I’m jus wondering how normal this is? Baby is still very actively kicking xx

C section or natural?

I am a control freak and thinking c section is the least stressful route for me and baby… less complications during labour etc. whilst acknowledging recovering can be hard.
If it could be guaranteed no tearing or complications then I would opt for natural and kind of want to experience the feeling.
Then again could plan and go either way 😂 arghh!
Anyone else in this predicament?

Midwife check

Can someone remind me when the midwife visits you at home? Is it the day after you’re discharged? And is that the same on the weekend or do they not visit then? Thanks!

Anyone else’s owlet pi##ing them off ?!?! It goes off 5/6 a night saying it can’t get a reading and needs a snug fit. My baby is 8 months old so moves a lot. It is driving me insane and I keep end up taking it off!!
