I just moved to russelville and called every daycare around they all have no openings I’m bawling I don’t know what to do, I’m a newly single mom and I live with family but everyone works so on my days off I have my kids when I work my cousin or her husband watches my kids, but lately we’ve had overlapping schedules, I work part time because I have no childcare besides them. But they can’t keep watching my kids. I’m so stuck I don’t know what to do I also only make 11$ an hour so I can’t afford to pay a babysitter. I barely get 15 hours a week some weeks. Guys please tell me it gets better.

It’ll get better eventually if I was near you I’d watch your kids for free

Yea look into daycares or ymca or try to be a sitter/nanny yourself and bring the kids with you. I’d go on Facebook and post this post in a local group. Try looking for local babysitting groups too. I’ve seen people near me only charge 100/week or like 30/day so try that. But good luck just keep trying your best and look into WFH jobs (not that I’ve had luck finding one, but you might!)

none are hiring I called them

yeah but that’s all I make in a paycheck, I work at Ross already and I can’t work in a daycare I can’t stand other people’s kids.

well sometimes we have to do what we have to do especially when we have kids AND being a single mom. I mean if you have no other options then you may have be temporarily uncomfortable to be comfortable. The ymca has other positions than a daycare center worker, and they have daycares so I’d look into what their policies are in regards to employees children being in the center your full shift.
